Core Responsibilities
Primary Functions
- Actively source and identify qualified candidates for a variety of open roles using online channels, including LinkedIn, professional networks, and niche job boards.
- Conduct initial resume and application screenings to assess candidate qualifications against job requirements, creating shortlists for review by senior staff.
- Perform preliminary phone and video screening interviews to evaluate candidate suitability, communication skills, and career aspirations.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for candidates, providing timely updates, answering inquiries, and ensuring a positive and professional experience throughout the placement process.
- Assist in coordinating and scheduling interviews between candidates and hiring managers, managing complex calendars and sending confirmation details.
- Guide candidates through the career development process, offering support in resume building, cover letter writing, and portfolio presentation.
- Conduct mock interviews with candidates, providing constructive feedback and coaching to help them prepare effectively for real-world interview scenarios.
- Maintain accurate and detailed candidate records, notes, and status updates within our Applicant Tracking System (ATS) and CRM databases.
- Assist in drafting and posting compelling and inclusive job descriptions on various internal and external career portals and job boards.
- Build and nurture a pipeline of passive and active talent for current and future hiring needs, fostering long-term relationships.
- Participate in and help organize virtual and in-person career fairs and recruiting events to attract top talent and promote our employer partners.
- Liaise with employer partners to understand their hiring needs, company culture, and specific role requirements to ensure high-quality candidate matching.
- Track and report on key recruitment metrics, such as time-to-fill, source-of-hire, and candidate conversion rates, to inform strategy.
- Develop and deliver presentations or workshops on career-related topics such as networking, personal branding, and interview techniques.
- Follow up with both candidates and employers post-placement to gather feedback, ensure a smooth transition, and support retention efforts.
Secondary Functions
- Support ad-hoc data requests and exploratory data analysis related to placement trends and recruitment effectiveness.
- Contribute to the organization's talent attraction strategy by researching and suggesting new sourcing channels and recruitment marketing ideas.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to create engaging content for social media platforms to attract candidates and showcase success stories.
- Provide comprehensive administrative support to the job placement team, including preparing documents, managing correspondence, and organizing files.
- Research industry trends, salary benchmarks, and in-demand skills to better advise candidates and inform recruitment strategies.
- Participate in sprint planning and agile ceremonies within the talent and HR team to drive continuous improvement in our processes.
