Core Responsibilities

Primary Functions

  • Actively source and identify qualified candidates for a diverse range of roles using multiple channels, including LinkedIn Recruiter, online job boards (Indeed, ZipRecruiter), social media platforms, and professional networks.
  • Develop and execute creative sourcing strategies to build a robust pipeline of passive and active talent for current and future hiring needs.
  • Conduct thorough screening of resumes and applications to assess candidate qualifications, experience, and alignment with job requirements and company culture.
  • Perform initial phone and video screenings to evaluate candidate skills, interest level, and career aspirations, providing a compelling overview of the opportunity.
  • Coordinate and schedule all stages of the interview process between candidates and clients or hiring managers, ensuring a seamless and positive experience for all parties.
  • Master and maintain the Applicant Tracking System (ATS), ensuring all candidate data, interactions, and statuses are accurately and meticulously updated in real-time.
  • Build and nurture strong, long-lasting relationships with candidates, acting as their primary point of contact and trusted advisor throughout the entire hiring journey.
  • Draft, edit, and post engaging and effective job descriptions on the company careers page, job boards, and other relevant platforms to attract a high volume of qualified applicants.
  • Assist senior recruiters in managing the full-cycle recruitment process, from initial requisition to final offer negotiation and placement.
  • Prepare and present candidate profiles, resumes, and shortlists to hiring managers or clients, highlighting key strengths and suitability for the role.
  • Learn to effectively manage client relationships by developing a deep understanding of their business, culture, and specific talent needs.
  • Conduct thorough professional reference checks and coordinate background checks for potential hires to ensure due diligence.
  • Provide administrative support to the talent acquisition team, including preparing offer letters, managing onboarding paperwork, and generating reports.
  • Actively participate in intake meetings with hiring managers to understand the nuances of each position and develop a targeted recruitment strategy.
  • Gather, consolidate, and relay constructive feedback to candidates and from hiring managers post-interview to facilitate continuous improvement.
  • Track and analyze key recruitment metrics and KPIs, such as time-to-fill, source-of-hire, and interview-to-offer ratios, to measure effectiveness.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, market intelligence, and competitor activities to provide insights and enhance recruitment strategies.
  • Represent the company at virtual and in-person career fairs, university recruiting events, and industry networking functions to promote our employer brand.
  • Provide basic career coaching, resume feedback, and interview preparation tips to job seekers within our network.
  • Ensure all recruitment and hiring practices are in compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.

Secondary Functions

  • Support ad-hoc data requests and exploratory data analysis to identify trends in candidate pipelines.
  • Contribute to the organization's data strategy and roadmap by ensuring high-quality data entry in the ATS.
  • Collaborate with business units to translate data needs into engineering requirements for recruitment reporting tools.
  • Participate in sprint planning and agile ceremonies within the broader HR and talent acquisition team.

Required Skills & Competencies

Hard Skills (Technical)

  • Proficiency with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) such as Lever, Greenhouse, Bullhorn, or similar platforms.
  • Strong knowledge of professional networking sites, particularly LinkedIn and LinkedIn Recruiter.
  • Expertise in using Boolean search strings and other advanced sourcing methodologies to uncover hidden talent.
  • High proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and/or G-Suite (Docs, Sheets, Calendar).
  • Experience with scheduling and calendar management across different time zones.
  • Familiarity with video conferencing platforms like Zoom, Microsoft Teams, and Google Meet for conducting remote interviews.
  • Basic understanding of HR principles and employment laws related to the hiring process.
  • Excellent data entry skills with a keen eye for accuracy and detail.
  • Ability to generate and interpret basic recruitment analytics and reports.

Educational Background

Minimum Education:

  • High School Diploma with relevant work experience. Associate's Degree is a plus.
