Primary Functions

- Continuously monitor client progress through objective measures and subjective feedback, making data-driven adjustments to treatment plans to optimize outcomes.
- Collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team, including physiotherapists, occupational therapists, physicians, and psychologists, to ensure integrated and holistic client care.
- Perform comprehensive ergonomic assessments of workplace, home, or vehicle environments and provide detailed recommendations for modifications to reduce physical strain and prevent injury.
- Utilize a variety of therapeutic modalities, fitness equipment, and assessment tools safely and effectively to support client rehabilitation and conditioning goals.
- Maintain highly accurate, confidential, and timely client records, including assessment findings, treatment notes, and progress reports, in compliance with professional and legislative standards.
- Communicate professionally and effectively with third-party payers, insurance adjusters, and legal representatives, providing clear and concise reports on client status and prognosis.
- Plan and lead engaging group exercise sessions, such as hydrotherapy, post-rehab conditioning, or specialized mobility classes, adapting exercises for various fitness levels.
- Develop and implement structured pre- and post-operative rehabilitation programs designed to accelerate recovery, restore function, and minimize complications following surgery.
- Assess and manage the rehabilitation of clients with complex injuries resulting from motor vehicle accidents (MVA), navigating the specific requirements of auto insurance systems.
- Create and deliver educational health promotion and wellness workshops on topics like workplace ergonomics, manual material handling, and chronic pain management.
- Conduct objective and legally defensible Functional Capacity Evaluations (FCEs) to determine an individual's physical capacity for work and other daily activities.
- Employ a range of standardized and non-standardized assessment tools to quantitatively and qualitatively measure a client's physical, functional, and psychosocial status.
- Guide clients through a collaborative goal-setting process, utilizing motivational interviewing techniques to enhance program adherence and self-efficacy.
- Provide on-site job coaching and support for clients during their return-to-work process, ensuring a safe and successful transition back into their occupational role.
