Primary Functions
- Assist lead installers with loading, unloading and protecting countertop materials (quartz, granite, laminate, solid surface) โ safely moving large slabs and pre-fabricated pieces, using dollies, straps, suction cups, and team lifting techniques to prevent damage and injury.

- Support in-shop and on-site cutting and trimming of countertops using hand and power tools (circular saws, angle grinders, routers) under direct supervision; follow cutting plans and maintain precise edge finishes.
- Assist with seam layout, applying adhesives/epoxy, holding, and clamping seams during curing to ensure flush, invisible joins in stone and engineered surfaces.
- Install backsplashes, edge profiles, and trim pieces according to project specifications; apply caulking and sealants neatly and consistently under guidance.
- Assist with sink and fixture cutouts: support measuring, aligning, and installing undermount and drop-in sinks, and assist with basic sink mounting hardware assembly.
- Load and secure tools, parts, and materials on trucks daily; maintain an organized truck box and inventory common consumables (adhesives, shims, screws, sealant).
- Observe, learn and apply safe handling procedures for heavy stone, adhesives, and cutting equipment; wear required PPE and follow company safety protocols at all times.
- Help with final jobsite cleanup: remove debris, dispose of protective coverings properly, sweep and vacuum surfaces, and leave the clientโs home or business neat and ready for use.
- Assist with quality checks: visually inspect seams, edges, levels and caulk lines; report imperfections and assist in preparing punch lists for remediation by senior installers.
- Communicate clearly with customers on-site when requested by the lead installer โ explain basic work steps, answer simple scheduling questions, and ensure customer comfort and satisfaction.
- Assist with demolition and removal of old countertops and sink fixtures, disconnecting basic plumbing and electrical by following safe procedures and supervisor instructions.
- Support routing, edge profiling and polishing tasks in the shop by holding pieces, aligning templates and learning machine safety under supervision.
- Maintain and perform basic maintenance on tools and equipment: clean blades, check pads, fuel, and lubricate hand tools; report broken tools to the lead or shop manager.
- Track and report material damage, shortages or special handling needs immediately to the foreman, and help quarantine damaged pieces to prevent further loss.
- Follow project documentation procedures: update job logs, sign off on completed tasks, obtain customer and installer signatures when required, and keep paperwork organized for billing and warranty.
- Assist with scheduling support: coordinate arrival times with drivers, lead installers and customers when asked and ensure jobs start on time with correct materials.
- Participate in on-the-job training: attend toolbox talks, safety briefings, and product knowledge sessions to grow into a full installer or fabricator role.
- Assist with minor site repairs and touch-ups after installation (tightening fasteners, reapplying sealant, shimming cabinets) to achieve final job acceptance.
- Help load/unload large stone slabs using dollies and A-frames, secure slabs for transport, and identify proper slab orientation and grain patterns to assist installers with layout decisions.
- Provide direct support during warranty or service calls by bringing necessary tools, diagnostic support and assisting the lead technician in performing repairs or adjustments.

- Assist the fabrication shop by labeling, staging and moving cut parts for fast, accurate production flow.
- Support inventory cycles by counting consumables and reporting low-stock items to the shop manager.

Minimum Education:
