Core Responsibilities

Primary Functions

Assist lead technicians in the comprehensive diagnosis, troubleshooting, and repair of a wide range of kitchen appliances, including refrigerators, ovens, cooktops, dishwashers, and microwaves.
Actively participate in the demolition and removal of existing kitchen components such as cabinets, countertops, flooring, and backsplashes in a safe and efficient manner.
Support the precise installation of new kitchen cabinets, ensuring they are level, secure, and aligned according to project plans and specifications.
Provide hands-on assistance with basic plumbing tasks, including the connection of sink faucets, drains, garbage disposals, and dishwasher water lines under direct supervision.
Help with minor electrical work, such as the safe installation of under-cabinet lighting, outlets, and light fixtures as guided by a senior technician.
Accurately measure, cut, and prepare materials like wood, laminate, and trim for installation, minimizing waste and ensuring a proper fit.
Transport tools, equipment, and construction materials between the company vehicle and the worksite, ensuring all items are handled carefully.
Prepare and protect the client's home by meticulously setting up drop cloths, plastic sheeting, and masking off adjacent areas before work begins.
Perform finishing tasks such as applying paint, stain, or sealant to cabinetry, walls, and trim to achieve a professional-grade result.
Operate a variety of hand and power tools (e.g., drills, saws, sanders, nail guns) safely and effectively under the direction of the lead technician.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site throughout the day by sweeping debris, organizing tools, and removing trash.
Learn to read and interpret project blueprints, assembly instructions, and technical manuals to contribute effectively to project execution.

Secondary Functions

Support ad-hoc tasks such as grout and tile repair for kitchen backsplashes and flooring to restore their appearance and function.
Collaborate with the lead technician to perform final quality control checks and walkthroughs, ensuring all work meets our high standards of excellence.
Engage professionally and courteously with clients on-site, providing basic project updates and referring complex questions to the lead technician.
Assist in loading and unloading the work vehicle at the start and end of each day, ensuring it is stocked with all necessary tools and supplies.
Help manage and maintain inventory of spare parts, hardware, and materials, both in the service vehicle and in the workshop.
Proactively seek opportunities to learn new repair techniques and gain a deeper understanding of cabinetry, plumbing, and electrical systems.
Document tasks performed and materials used on job sheets or digital platforms to ensure accurate project tracking and billing.
Strictly adhere to all company and OSHA safety protocols, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
