Core Responsibilities

Primary Functions

Deliver comprehensive kitesurfing instruction to individuals and groups, meticulously tailoring teaching methods to accommodate a wide range of skill levels, from absolute beginners to advanced riders.
Rigorously enforce and champion all safety protocols and best practices on and off the water, ensuring a secure environment for all students, staff, and beachgoers.

Master and teach the full spectrum of kitesurfing theory, including the wind window, aerodynamics, weather patterns, tide effects, and right-of-way rules.
Demonstrate a high level of personal riding skill to inspire students and effectively illustrate advanced techniques and maneuvers.
Manage and maintain a professional certification (e.g., IKO, PASA, BKSA), staying current with evolving industry standards, teaching methodologies, and safety procedures.
Develop and implement structured lesson plans and curriculums that ensure a logical and safe progression for students through different learning stages.
Assess student competency and readiness for progression to independent riding, making the final determination on their ability to practice the sport safely on their own.
Facilitate an inclusive and encouraging learning atmosphere, fostering a sense of community and passion for the sport among all participants.
Operate and maintain support boats and personal watercraft (PWC) for lessons and rescue operations in a safe and professional manner.

Secondary Functions

Provide expert consultation to customers in a retail setting, advising on the appropriate selection, purchase, and maintenance of kitesurfing equipment based on their skill level, style, and local conditions.
Execute skilled repairs and maintenance on kite equipment, including canopy patching, bladder repair and replacement, line tuning, and board repairs.
Manage the administrative aspects of lesson scheduling and client bookings, utilizing booking software to optimize instructor availability and resource allocation.
Act as a key point of contact for customer inquiries, providing friendly and knowledgeable information about lessons, rentals, and local kite spots.
Support marketing and promotional activities, including contributing to social media content, participating in demo days, and representing the brand at local events.
Assist in managing inventory for both school and retail equipment, tracking usage, and forecasting needs for new gear and spare parts.
Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the kite center, shop, and storage areas to ensure a professional and welcoming appearance.

Required Skills & Competencies

Hard Skills (Technical)

Professional Kiteboarding Certification: Active certification from a recognized international body such as IKO (International Kiteboarding Organization), PASA (Professional Air Sports Association), or BKSA (British Kitesurfing Association).
Advanced Kite Piloting & Riding Skills: Demonstrable expertise in handling various kite sizes in a wide range of wind conditions, including advanced maneuvers.
First Aid & CPR/BLS Certification: Current and valid certification in First Aid and CPR is non-negotiable for handling potential medical situations.

Experience Requirements
