Core Responsibilities

Primary Functions

Methodically review production schedules, work orders, or pick tickets to understand daily kitting requirements and priorities.
Accurately locate and pull individual components, parts, and materials from designated warehouse storage locations, such as bins, shelves, or racks.
Diligently verify the accuracy of picked items by cross-referencing part numbers, lot numbers, quantities, and descriptions against the Bill of Materials (BOM) or kitting list.
Carefully assemble and group verified components into standardized bins, containers, or packages to create a complete and accurate kit.
Utilize handheld RF scanners and other warehouse technology to execute transactions, track material movement, and update inventory levels in the Warehouse Management System (WMS) or ERP system.
Generate and apply appropriate labels, barcodes, and identification tags to each completed kit to ensure proper tracking and routing to the next stage of production or shipping.
Perform quality checks on components before and during the kitting process, identifying and quarantining any damaged, defective, or non-conforming materials.
Immediately report any inventory discrepancies, shortages, or quality issues to the Kitting Lead or Warehouse Supervisor for prompt resolution.
Follow detailed work instructions, diagrams, or schematics to ensure kits are assembled in the correct sequence and configuration for the end-user.
Securely package completed kits to prevent damage during transport, using appropriate packing materials such as foam, bubble wrap, or dividers.
Operate material handling equipment, such as pallet jacks, hand trucks, or carts, to safely transport raw materials and finished kits throughout the facility.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work station and surrounding area, adhering to all 5S principles and company safety protocols.
Participate actively in regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits to help maintain the highest level of inventory accuracy.
Monitor and replenish kitting-specific supplies, such as bags, boxes, labels, and tape, ensuring they are readily available to avoid work stoppages.
Collaborate with team members in the inventory, receiving, and production departments to coordinate the flow of materials and resolve any issues.

Required Skills & Competencies
