- Conduct intricate and time-consuming hand-sanding of blades and components, progressing through grits to achieve various flawless finishes, from a working satin to a full mirror polish.
- Operate manual and CNC machinery, including milling machines and lathes, to precisely fabricate guards, bolsters, and other hardware components.
- Meticulously shape, fit, and finish a wide range of handle materials, including exotic woods, carbon fiber, Micarta, and G10, ensuring a seamless and ergonomic fit to the knife tang.
- Assemble all knife components, including pinning or screwing handle scales, peening guards, and performing final fit-and-finish checks to ensure perfect alignment and function.
- Apply a final, razor-sharp edge to finished knives using guided sharpening systems, Japanese water stones, or leather strops, followed by rigorous cutting performance tests.
- Perform detailed quality control inspections at every stage of the production process to identify and rectify any defects or deviations from our high standards of craftsmanship.
- Assist in the creation and fitting of custom Kydex or leather sheaths, including vacuum forming, hand stitching, edge burnishing, and hardware installation.
- Apply various blade finishes, such as acid etching for a damascus pattern reveal, stonewashing for a durable matte finish, or preparing surfaces for Cerakote application.
