Core Responsibilities

Primary Functions

Meticulously assemble garment components by linking or sewing seams, such as sleeves, side seams, and collars, using specialized linking machines.
Execute intricate hand-sewing techniques for attaching pockets, plackets, trims, and other detailed elements that machines cannot handle.
Perform invisible mending and detailed repair work on garments to correct knitting flaws, dropped stitches, or small holes, ensuring a flawless finish.
Carefully inspect each garment throughout the finishing process to identify, flag, and rectify any defects, including yarn inconsistencies, stains, or incorrect tension.
Operate industrial steam presses and blocking equipment to shape garments to precise measurements as per the technical specifications.
Skillfully attach all brand labels, care labels, size tabs, and hangtags in the correct position, ensuring brand consistency.
Read and precisely interpret technical packs, spec sheets, and design instructions to ensure every detail of the garment is finished correctly.
Trim and secure all loose yarn ends and threads from the inside and outside of the garment for a clean, professional appearance.
Work with a diverse range of delicate and luxury yarns, including cashmere, merino wool, and silk blends, applying appropriate handling and finishing techniques for each.
Conduct final quality assurance checks on finished garments, measuring them against size charts to guarantee conformity and fit.
Manage and meet daily and weekly production targets while maintaining the highest standards of quality and craftsmanship.
Fold, tag, and prepare finished knitwear for bagging and packaging according to specific customer or brand requirements.
