Core Responsibilities

Primary Functions

Install a diverse range of plant material, including trees, shrubs, perennials, and annuals, following design specifications and horticultural best practices for placement and soil preparation.
Apply mulch, pine straw, or rock to landscape beds to conserve soil moisture, suppress weed growth, and enhance visual appeal.
Conduct diligent manual and chemical weed control within lawn and landscape bed areas to maintain a pristine and healthy environment.
Assist in the installation, maintenance, and basic repair of irrigation systems, including adjusting sprinkler heads, fixing leaks, and programming controllers.
Operate gas-powered blowers to clear leaves, grass clippings, and other debris from paved surfaces, lawns, and landscape beds, ensuring a tidy site.

Perform snow and ice removal during winter months using shovels, snow blowers, plows, and salt spreaders, often requiring flexible on-call hours.
