Core Responsibilities

Primary Functions

Execute comprehensive landscape maintenance plans, including precise mowing, string trimming, and edging of turf areas to ensure a consistently manicured and professional appearance.
Operate a wide array of powered landscaping equipment such as commercial zero-turn mowers, walk-behinds, leaf blowers, hedge trimmers, and chainsaws with a strong focus on safety and efficiency.

Monitor and manage irrigation systems, performing routine checks, adjusting sprinkler heads, and making minor repairs to ensure optimal water distribution and conservation.
Conduct seasonal clean-up activities, including leaf removal in the fall and debris clearing after storms to maintain property cleanliness and safety.
Install sod, grass seed, and erosion control measures on new or renovated turf areas to establish healthy, dense lawns.

Secondary Functions

Assist in the installation of hardscape features such as patios, retaining walls, walkways, and garden borders under the guidance of a senior team member.
Perform routine preventative maintenance on all landscaping tools and equipment, including cleaning, sharpening blades, and checking fluid levels to ensure longevity and safe operation.
Participate in snow and ice removal operations during winter months, which may involve shoveling, applying salt/sand, and operating snow blowers or plows.
Support seasonal landscape enhancement projects, such as the installation of annual flower displays, holiday decorations, or thematic garden elements.
Accurately document completed work, materials used, and hours worked on daily job sheets or through digital tracking software.
Interact professionally with clients or property managers on-site, answering basic questions and relaying more complex inquiries to the appropriate supervisor.
