Core Responsibilities
Primary Functions
- Conduct comprehensive needs analyses by collaborating with stakeholders and business leaders to identify knowledge and skill gaps, define learning objectives, and determine the most effective training solutions.
- Design and develop complete, end-to-end learning programs, including curriculum architecture, course outlines, and detailed design documents for a variety of delivery formats (eLearning, instructor-led, virtual, blended).
- Author and build interactive and visually compelling eLearning modules using industry-standard tools like Articulate Storyline 360 and Rise, incorporating scenarios, simulations, and gamification elements.
- Collaborate closely with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to gather, synthesize, and structure complex technical or business content into clear, digestible, and instructionally sound learning materials.
- Write clear, concise, and learner-centric content, including scripts for video and audio, participant guides, facilitator manuals, and job aids that reinforce learning.
- Develop valid and reliable assessment strategies, including knowledge checks, quizzes, final exams, and practical application exercises, to measure learning effectiveness and skill acquisition.
- Apply established instructional design models, such as ADDIE, SAM, or an agile-based approach, to manage the full lifecycle of learning projects from inception to evaluation.
- Design and create supporting media assets, including graphics, videos, and audio narration, to enhance the learning experience, often using tools from the Adobe Creative Cloud.
- Pilot and iterate on learning solutions based on feedback from learners and stakeholders to ensure they are effective, engaging, and free of errors before full-scale launch.
- Manage multiple instructional design projects simultaneously, adhering to project timelines, budgets, and quality standards while effectively communicating progress to stakeholders.
- Create and maintain design standards, templates, and style guides to ensure consistency and quality across all learning and development materials produced by the team.
- Evaluate the business impact of training programs using a recognized framework, such as the Kirkpatrick Model, by analyzing data on learner performance, behavior change, and business results.
- Facilitate "train-the-trainer" sessions to prepare facilitators and managers to deliver new training content effectively and consistently.
- Revise and update existing training materials to ensure they remain current, relevant, and instructionally effective in a constantly changing business environment.
- Champion a learner-centered approach in all aspects of design, ensuring that content is accessible, inclusive, and tailored to the needs of a diverse audience.
