Core Responsibilities

Primary Functions

  1. Operate assigned lifts safely and efficiently in accordance with company policies and operational guidelines.
  2. Conduct pre‑operation inspections of lift equipment, controls, safety mechanisms, and communication systems each shift.
  3. Monitor passengers or materials as they board and disembark, ensuring safe loading and unloading procedures.
  4. Provide clear instruction and assistance to passengers or users to promote orderly and secure use of lifts.
  5. Maintain clean and organized lift stations, loading areas, ramps, signage, queues and maze setups.
  6. Respond promptly to maintenance issues, equipment malfunctions or safety hazards by notifying dispatch or supervisors.
  7. Implement emergency procedures, including shutdown protocols and communication with patrol or maintenance teams.
  8. Maintain accurate daily logs of lift activity, inspections, repairs, incidents and operational hours.
  9. Assist in setting up and disassembling lifting area infrastructure such as queues, barriers, fencing and signage.
  10. Provide exceptional customer service, answering questions, resolving concerns, and enhancing guest experience.
  11. Enforce safety policies, capacity limits, weight restrictions and operational protocols.
  12. Perform routine snow management, shoveled ramp maintenance or surface preparation as required.
  13. Move between lift stations or zones as directed to support peak times and operational needs.
  14. Assist with base area safety tasks, including ice chip removal, area salting or hazard mitigation.
  15. Provide training support to new Lift Operators on standard procedures and safety guidelines.
  16. Coordinate with maintenance staff to schedule preventive maintenance and identify equipment improvements.
  17. Manage lift speed, chair capacity or equipment settings according to safety and performance reporting.
  18. Assist RFID or ticket attendants with guest verification and access protocols as needed.
  19. Ensure signage, barriers, and safety materials are properly positioned and in good condition.
  20. Perform other operational duties as assigned, including support with guest inquiries, equipment checks, and weather‑related adjustments.

Secondary Functions

  • Support ad‑hoc data requests and exploratory data analysis related to lift usage and safety trends.
  • Contribute to the organization’s operational data strategy and roadmap.
  • Collaborate with business units to translate safety and usage data into engineering requirements.
  • Participate in cross‑functional planning and continuous improvement activities.

Required Skills & Competencies

Hard Skills (Technical)

  • Proficiency in operating mechanical and electrical lift systems or heavy equipment.
  • Daily equipment inspection and reporting to ensure safe functioning before operation.
  • Knowledge of emergency procedures, safety protocols and evacuation techniques.
  • Ability to complete accurate logs, inspection checklists and operational reports.
  • Familiarity with sign, barrier and maze setup for loading and unloading areas.
  • Basic understanding of mechanical systems to identify malfunctions or performance issues.
  • Competence in public address and communication systems used in operations.
  • Use of radios, dispatch systems or mobile devices to communicate with maintenance and supervisors.
  • Ability to execute safety drills and operate emergency response equipment.
  • Basic maintenance tasks such as snow shoveling, ramp adjustments, and surface preparation.

Experience Requirements

Typical Experience Range:
Entry‑level to 2+ years working in lift operations, guest services, hospitality support or heavy equipment/warehouse operations.
