Core Responsibilities

Primary Functions

Analyze and interpret complex logistics and supply chain data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction.
Develop, maintain, and enhance comprehensive dashboards and reports using BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) to track key performance indicators (KPIs) like on-time delivery, freight cost per unit, and inventory accuracy.
Lead root cause analysis for logistical failures, such as shipping delays, carrier performance issues, or inventory discrepancies, and propose robust, data-driven solutions.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Operations, Procurement, Sales, and IT to gather and document business requirements, translating them into actionable analytical projects.
Design and model potential impacts of changes in the supply chain network, such as opening new distribution centers, changing shipping policies, or onboarding new carriers.
Conduct regular performance reviews with third-party logistics (3PL) providers and freight carriers, using data to drive accountability and ensure adherence to service level agreements (SLAs).
Develop detailed business cases and cost-benefit analyses for proposed logistics projects and technology investments to secure stakeholder buy-in and funding.
Create and maintain clear, detailed documentation for logistics processes, data models, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure operational consistency.
Forecast transportation costs, freight volume, and capacity needs to support financial planning, budgeting, and strategic resource allocation.
Perform gap analysis on current logistics processes and systems (TMS, WMS) to identify inefficiencies and recommend strategic enhancements or new technology adoptions.

Translate complex analytical findings and statistical models into clear, concise, and compelling presentations for senior management and non-technical stakeholders.
Act as a subject matter expert (SME) on logistics data, systems, and processes, providing guidance, training, and support to internal teams.
Evaluate and support negotiations with carriers and logistics service providers by providing in-depth performance data and cost analysis.
Ensure data integrity and accuracy across various logistics platforms and databases by developing and implementing data governance standards and validation checks.
