You will take ownership of the entire lifecycle of our Apple fleet, from procurement and zero-touch deployment to ongoing management, security compliance, and advanced technical support. Core Responsibilities

Primary Functions

  • Architect, implement, and maintain the Jamf Pro infrastructure for comprehensive management of all corporate macOS and iOS endpoints.
  • Execute zero-touch and light-touch deployment strategies for new Mac and iOS devices using Apple Business Manager (ABM) and Jamf Pro automation.
  • Serve as the primary escalation point (Tier 2/3) for all complex technical issues related to Apple hardware, macOS, iOS, and associated applications.
  • Develop, test, and deploy macOS configuration profiles, policies, and security settings to ensure compliance with corporate standards and industry best practices.
  • Create and maintain standardized OS images and software packages for consistent and efficient deployment across the organization.
  • Proactively manage and execute macOS and application patching cycles to mitigate vulnerabilities and ensure system stability.
  • Author and maintain detailed technical documentation, including standard operating procedures (SOPs), knowledge base articles, and end-user guides.
  • Manage the complete lifecycle of Apple assets, from procurement and inventory tracking in our asset management system to secure disposal.
  • Provide dedicated "white-glove" support for C-suite executives and VIPs, ensuring rapid response and resolution for all technical needs.
  • Develop and maintain custom scripts (e.g., Bash, Python, or Swift) to automate repetitive administrative tasks and streamline workflows.
  • Integrate Apple devices with enterprise services, including Active Directory, Azure AD, Okta for single sign-on (SSO), and network file shares.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose complex hardware and software issues, coordinating with Apple Support and third-party vendors for repairs and replacements.
  • Monitor the health, performance, and compliance of the entire Mac fleet using Jamf Pro reporting and custom monitoring tools.

Secondary Functions

  • Support and troubleshoot audio/visual systems and video conferencing solutions (e.g., Zoom Rooms, Crestron) in conference rooms, many of which run on Mac Minis.
  • Evaluate emerging Apple technologies, new software, and third-party tools to recommend improvements and enhancements to our endpoint environment.
  • Collaborate with the security team to implement and manage endpoint protection, encryption (FileVault), and data loss prevention (DLP) solutions on Mac devices.
  • Assist in the procurement process by researching Apple hardware and software, obtaining quotes, and managing vendor relationships.
  • Provide training sessions and workshops to end-users on macOS features, best practices, and company-supported applications.
  • Respond to and resolve assigned tickets within the IT service management platform (e.g., Jira, ServiceNow) according to established SLAs.
  • Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours support of critical infrastructure and executive-level issues.
  • Manage software licensing and renewals for Mac-specific applications, ensuring compliance and optimizing costs.

Required Skills & Competencies

Hard Skills (Technical)

  • Jamf Pro: Expert-level proficiency in administering a Jamf Pro environment, including policy creation, packaging, scripting, and reporting. Jamf 300/400 certification is a significant plus.
  • macOS & iOS: Deep, expert-level knowledge of macOS and iOS, including the command line, system preferences, and underlying architecture.
  • Scripting: Strong scripting ability in Bash is essential; proficiency in Python or Swift for automation is highly desirable.
  • Apple Business Manager (ABM): Hands-on experience with ABM for device enrollment (DEP) and application purchasing (VPP).
  • Network Troubleshooting: Solid understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and Wi-Fi protocols to diagnose connectivity issues on Apple devices.
  • Identity Provider (IdP) Integration: Experience integrating Macs with IdP solutions like Okta, Azure AD, or Google Workspace for authentication.
  • Software Packaging: Proficiency in using tools like Jamf Composer or AutoPkg to package and deploy applications.

Educational Background

Minimum Education:

Typical Experience Range: 3-7 years of hands-on experience in an IT role with a primary focus on supporting and managing Apple devices.

  • Experience working in a fast-growing tech company or enterprise-level organization.
