Core Responsibilities

Primary Functions

  • Own and articulate the product vision, strategy, and multi-year roadmap for a specific digital product or portfolio, ensuring it aligns with overarching company objectives and market opportunities.
  • Lead the end-to-end product development lifecycle, from initial discovery and ideation through to design, development, launch, post-launch analysis, and continuous iteration.
  • Conduct in-depth market research, competitive landscape analysis, and user research to identify unmet customer needs, validate product hypotheses, and discover new growth avenues.
  • Translate complex business goals and user requirements into clear, well-defined product specifications, epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria for the engineering teams.
  • Develop, maintain, and ruthlessly prioritize the product backlog based on business value, user impact, and technical feasibility, ensuring the development team is always working on the most impactful initiatives.
  • Champion a data-driven culture by defining, monitoring, and analyzing key performance indicators (KPIs) and product metrics to measure success and inform strategic decisions.
  • Collaborate intimately with cross-functional teams, including Engineering, UX/UI Design, Marketing, Sales, and Customer Support, to foster alignment and orchestrate the seamless delivery of a cohesive product experience.
  • Act as the unwavering voice of the customer within the organization, synthesizing feedback from various channels (surveys, interviews, support tickets) to champion user-centric enhancements.
  • Manage and communicate effectively with a diverse set of stakeholders, providing regular, transparent updates on product progress, potential risks, and dependencies to ensure buy-in and alignment.
  • Design and execute A/B tests, multivariate tests, and other user experiments to optimize key conversion funnels, validate new feature ideas, and improve overall user engagement.
  • Lead key agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, backlog grooming sessions, and product demonstrations, ensuring the development team has a crystal-clear understanding of what to build and why.
  • Partner with Product Marketing and Go-To-Market teams to craft compelling product positioning, value propositions, and launch strategies that resonate with the target audience and drive adoption.
  • Develop robust business cases for new product initiatives, including detailed financial models, market sizing assessments, and resource planning to secure executive approval and funding.
  • Facilitate creative workshops and brainstorming sessions with internal teams and external partners to generate innovative solutions for complex user problems and business challenges.
  • Ensure the product adheres to all relevant legal, privacy (like GDPR, CCPA), accessibility (WCAG), and security standards throughout its entire lifecycle.

Required Skills & Competencies

Hard Skills (Technical)

  • Agile & Scrum Methodologies: Deep expertise in running agile development teams, including proficiency in backlog grooming, sprint planning, and writing effective user stories.
  • Product Roadmapping & Management Tools: Hands-on experience with tools like JIRA, Confluence, Aha!, Productboard, or similar platforms to manage backlogs and communicate roadmaps.
  • Data Analysis & Interpretation: Ability to query and analyze data using tools like SQL, Google Analytics, Mixpanel, or Amplitude to derive actionable insights and measure product performance.
