Core Responsibilities

Primary Functions

  • Direct and oversee all aspects of the daily operational workflow, from resource allocation and scheduling to production and final delivery, ensuring all processes run reliably and efficiently.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing operations team, fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and professional growth through regular coaching and performance management.
  • Develop and manage the operational budget, including capital expenditures and labor forecasting, ensuring adherence to financial targets and optimizing for cost-effectiveness without compromising quality.
  • Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) and operational metrics (e.g., productivity, quality control, on-time delivery, cost per unit) to identify trends, diagnose issues, and implement strategic improvements.
  • Champion and implement process improvement methodologies, such as Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or Agile, to eliminate waste, reduce process variation, and enhance overall productivity.
  • Formulate and execute long-term operational strategies in alignment with overarching company goals, translating executive-level objectives into actionable plans for the operations department.
  • Manage relationships with key vendors, suppliers, and third-party logistics (3PL) providers, negotiating contracts and service level agreements (SLAs) to secure favorable terms and ensure reliable partnership.
  • Ensure all operational activities and facilities comply with relevant local, state, and federal regulations, including health, safety (OSHA), and environmental standards.
  • Drive a culture of safety by developing and enforcing robust safety protocols, conducting regular training, and leading investigations into any incidents to prevent recurrence.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional leaders in Sales, Finance, HR, and Marketing to ensure seamless coordination and alignment on business objectives, product launches, and promotional campaigns.
  • Oversee inventory management and control systems to optimize stock levels, minimize carrying costs, and prevent stock-outs or overstock situations.
  • Lead the evaluation and implementation of new operational technologies, software (like ERP or WMS systems), and automation to drive efficiency and scale capabilities.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive contingency and business continuity plans to mitigate risks associated with supply chain disruptions, equipment failure, or other operational emergencies.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for resolving escalated operational issues, demonstrating strong problem-solving skills and a customer-centric mindset.
  • Prepare and present detailed operational performance reports and strategic recommendations to senior leadership and key stakeholders.
  • Manage the physical infrastructure and facility maintenance, ensuring the workplace is safe, secure, and conducive to high-quality operational output.
  • Drive initiatives focused on enhancing customer satisfaction by improving order accuracy, delivery times, and overall service quality.
  • Oversee the entire supply chain process, from procurement and sourcing of raw materials to the final distribution of goods, ensuring an efficient and resilient flow.

Required Skills & Competencies

Hard Skills (Technical)

  • Process Improvement Methodologies: Proven expertise in applying frameworks like Lean, Six Sigma, or Kaizen to identify inefficiencies and drive tangible improvements.
  • Budgeting & P&L Management: Strong financial acumen with experience creating, managing, and reporting on departmental budgets and understanding financial statements.
  • Data Analysis & Reporting: Ability to interpret complex operational data, utilize business intelligence tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI), and present findings clearly to stakeholders.

Educational Background
