Primary Functions

  • Execute advanced nail art, stamping, hand-painted designs, rhinestone application, foil, ombré, and precision detailing for custom looks while maintaining efficient service timing for scheduled appointments.
  • Assess nail and skin conditions prior to treatment, recognize signs of infection or contraindications (e.g., fungal infections, open wounds), and refer clients to medical professionals when appropriate while documenting observations in client records.
  • Perform safe gel polish application and proper LED/UV curing techniques, ensuring full polymerization, elimination of sticky residue, and correct removal procedures to protect natural nails and client safety.
  • Deliver expert removal of nail enhancements (acrylics, gels, dip powder) using controlled soaking, safe filing, and minimal damage techniques while performing follow-up treatments to restore nail integrity.
  • Provide personalized consultations to clients about nail care, product recommendations, maintenance schedules, nail health improvement plans, and at-home care instructions to increase client retention and satisfaction.
  • Maintain meticulous sanitation and sterilization of tools, equipment, and workstations following state board regulations, OSHA guidelines, and salon protocols to protect clients and staff from cross-contamination.

  • Stay current with nail industry trends, new techniques (e.g., soak-off systems, builder gels, nail sculpting), product safety bulletins, and manufacturer instructions by participating in continuing education and in-house training.
  • Troubleshoot and correct common service issues (e.g., product lifting, air bubbles, gel separation) using best practices to protect brand reputation and minimize rework or corrective appointments.
  • Support clean and attractive salon presentation by maintaining stocked stations, laundering towel inventory, replenishing disposables, and ensuring signage, sanitation stations, and product displays are customer-ready.
  • Collaborate with front desk staff to confirm appointments, process walk-ins where possible, and assist with schedule optimization to maximize chair utilization and revenue per service hour.
