Core Responsibilities

Primary Functions

  • Conceptualize, design, and produce a high volume of engaging static and video ad creatives for various performance marketing channels, including social media (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Snapchat), ad networks, and DSPs.
  • Develop and execute visually stunning marketing assets for App Store Optimization (ASO), including icons, screenshots, and feature graphics, to increase visibility and conversion rates.
  • Collaborate with the User Acquisition team to understand campaign goals, target audiences, and performance data, translating these insights into powerful creative concepts and iterations.
  • Take ownership of the creative pipeline from initial concept and storyboarding through to final execution, compositing, and delivery, ensuring all assets are on-brand and meet technical specifications.
  • Rapidly iterate on creative concepts by A/B testing elements such as copy, calls-to-action, character showcases, and gameplay footage to identify top-performing ad variations.
  • Capture high-quality gameplay footage and cinematic sequences directly from game engines like Unity or Unreal, identifying moments that best showcase the product's core features and excitement.
  • Animate 2D and 3D elements to create dynamic motion graphics and compelling video advertisements that stop the scroll and drive engagement.
  • Analyze creative performance metrics (CTR, CVR, IPM, ROAS) in partnership with marketing managers to derive actionable insights for future creative development and strategy.
  • Stay current with creative trends, new advertising formats, and competitor strategies within the mobile gaming and entertainment landscape to ensure our marketing remains fresh and effective.
  • Work closely with brand and product teams to ensure all marketing visuals are aligned with the established brand identity, art style, and messaging guidelines.
  • Create a wide array of marketing materials beyond UA, including community assets, social media content, website graphics, and event branding.
  • Manage and organize a large library of creative assets, ensuring files are properly named, archived, and accessible to relevant stakeholders.
  • Participate in creative brainstorming sessions to generate new ideas for campaigns, characters, and promotional angles that resonate with our target demographics.
  • Adapt and localize marketing assets for various international markets, considering cultural nuances and language requirements to maximize global reach.
  • Develop and prototype new creative formats, such as playable ads, to explore innovative ways of engaging potential users.
  • Provide and receive constructive feedback during creative reviews to continuously elevate the quality and effectiveness of the team's output.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to asset creation, rendering, and implementation across different platforms.
  • Mentor junior artists and contractors, providing guidance on best practices, tools, and creative strategy to foster team growth.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, effectively prioritizing tasks based on marketing objectives.
  • Collaborate with external agencies or freelance artists when needed, providing clear creative briefs and ensuring the final deliverables meet our quality standards.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for creative best practices, style guides, and production workflows for the marketing art team.

Secondary Functions

  • Support ad-hoc creative requests for various marketing, PR, and community initiatives.
  • Contribute to the creative testing strategy and help interpret performance data to inform the broader marketing roadmap.
  • Collaborate with product and engineering teams to understand upcoming features that can be leveraged for new marketing angles.
  • Participate in sprint planning, project kick-offs, and retrospectives within the marketing creative team to improve processes and efficiency.

Required Skills & Competencies

Hard Skills (Technical)

  • Expert-level proficiency in the Adobe Creative Suite, specifically Photoshop for static assets, After Effects for motion graphics, and Premiere Pro for video editing.
  • Strong graphic design fundamentals, including a deep understanding of composition, color theory, typography, and visual hierarchy.
  • Experience capturing footage and rendering assets from game engines such as Unity or Unreal Engine.
  • Proven ability in video editing, post-production, and sound design to create polished and impactful video ads.
  • Solid understanding of performance marketing principles, user acquisition (UA) funnels, and key metrics (CTR, CVR, ROAS).
  • Knowledge of digital advertising platforms (Meta, Google, TikTok) and their specific creative formats, specifications, and best practices.
  • Experience with 2D or 3D animation techniques and software (e.g., Spine, Blender, Maya) is a significant plus.
  • Familiarity with App Store Optimization (ASO) and the process of creating compelling store assets for Google Play and the Apple App Store.

Education & Experience

Educational Background

Minimum Education:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience in a relevant field.

Preferred Education:

  • Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) or a degree focused on digital media or marketing.

Experience Requirements

  • Demonstrable experience creating assets that have directly contributed to successful user acquisition and revenue growth.
