Core Responsibilities
Primary Functions
- Execute advanced diagnostic procedures to accurately identify the root cause of complex mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic system malfunctions on critical production equipment.
- Perform intricate repairs, overhauls, and installations on a wide range of industrial machinery, including pumps, compressors, conveyors, gearboxes, and automated manufacturing systems.

- Interpret complex technical documentation, including P&IDs (Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams), blueprints, OEM service manuals, and detailed mechanical schematics to guide troubleshooting and repair activities.
- Install, align, commission, and validate new and modified mechanical systems, ensuring they meet operational specifications and safety standards before handover to production.
- Fabricate or modify components as needed using machine shop equipment such as lathes, mills, and welders to facilitate timely repairs or system improvements.
- Manage and execute critical equipment alignment tasks, employing laser alignment tools and precision measurement instruments to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
- Serve as the primary technical point of contact during unplanned equipment downtime events, coordinating maintenance efforts and communicating status updates to operational leadership.
- Develop and refine standardized maintenance procedures (SMPs) and lockout/tagout (LOTO) protocols to enhance safety and work quality across the maintenance team.
- Mentor and provide on-the-job training to junior technicians and mechanics, sharing advanced knowledge and promoting a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement.
- Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) on recurring equipment failures, developing and implementing robust corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence.
- Manage the inventory of critical spare parts, identifying essential components, setting reorder points, and working with procurement to ensure availability.
