Core Responsibilities
Primary Functions
- Execute detailed floor sets, planograms, and visual merchandising directives to create a compelling and brand-consistent in-store environment.
- Analyze daily and weekly sales reports to identify top-selling products, slow-movers, and emerging trends to inform inventory and placement decisions.
- Manage and maintain optimal inventory levels on the sales floor through consistent replenishment, ensuring product availability for customers.
- Collaborate closely with store management and sales teams to communicate merchandising strategies and gather firsthand feedback on product performance and customer response.
- Ensure all promotional and pricing signage is accurate, up-to-date, and clearly visible, aligning with current marketing campaigns and sale events.
- Participate in the receiving, unpacking, and processing of new inventory shipments, ensuring products are floor-ready in a timely manner.
- Act as a product knowledge expert, training and educating store staff on new arrivals, key features, and selling points to enhance customer service.
- Implement markdown and clearance strategies at the store level, managing the presentation and consolidation of sale merchandise to maximize sell-through.
- Create and maintain visually engaging product displays, mannequin stylings, and feature tables that attract customer attention and drive sales.
- Conduct regular store walks and competitor shop visits to assess brand presentation, identify opportunities, and report on competitor strategies and market trends.
- Maintain impeccable store standards, ensuring the sales floor is clean, organized, well-lit, and easy for customers to navigate.
- Act as a key point of contact between corporate merchandising/buying teams and the store, facilitating clear communication and seamless execution of initiatives.
- Verify that product information, including styles, pricing, and descriptions, is accurate both in-store and within the Point of Sale (POS) system.
- Support the planning and execution of in-store promotions, product launches, and special events to create an exciting shopping experience.
- Assist the e-commerce team by ensuring online product assortments mirror in-store strategies and providing insights for digital merchandising.
- Manage the organization and tracking of product samples required for marketing materials, photoshoots, or internal reviews.
- Prepare and distribute regular reports on inventory status, sales performance, and merchandising compliance to key stakeholders.
- Utilize customer traffic patterns and sales data to strategically adjust product placement and adjacencies to optimize conversion.
- Support loss prevention efforts by ensuring merchandise is properly ticketed, sensored, and displayed according to company policy.
- Provide direct customer service and sales support during peak traffic periods, using merchandising knowledge to assist shoppers and drive sales.
