Core Responsibilities
Primary Functions
- Travel to customer homes, offices, or fleet locations to perform a wide range of automotive repair and maintenance services on various makes and models.
- Conduct thorough, multi-point digital vehicle inspections to accurately identify existing issues and proactively recommend necessary future maintenance.
- Utilize advanced diagnostic scan tools, laptops, and software to accurately troubleshoot and diagnose complex issues with engines, transmissions, electrical systems, and onboard computers.
- Perform comprehensive brake system services, including the replacement of pads, rotors, calipers, and brake lines, and conduct thorough safety checks.
- Execute routine and scheduled maintenance tasks such as oil changes, fluid flushes (coolant, transmission, brake), and filter replacements according to manufacturer specifications.
- Diagnose and repair complex vehicle starting and charging issues, including alternator, starter, and battery replacement and electrical circuit testing.
- Address and resolve customer concerns related to engine performance, including drivability issues, check engine lights, and no-start conditions.
- Service and repair vehicle heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems, including leak detection, refrigerant recharging, and component replacement.
- Perform steering and suspension repairs, including the replacement of shocks, struts, control arms, tie rods, and conduct wheel alignments where applicable.
- Manage and maintain a clean, organized, and fully-stocked service vehicle, including tracking parts inventory and ensuring all tools are in proper working order.
- Generate detailed, accurate, and transparent repair estimates for customers, clearly explaining the required work, parts, and associated labor costs.
- Communicate professionally and effectively with customers throughout the service process, from initial diagnosis to job completion, ensuring a high level of satisfaction.
- Maintain meticulous digital records of all services performed, parts used, and vehicle information using our mobile application or software.
- Source and order necessary parts from approved vendors, ensuring the correct components are acquired in a timely manner to complete repairs efficiently.
- Adhere strictly to all safety protocols and environmental regulations, especially when handling hazardous materials like oil, coolant, and refrigerants.
- Replace and repair exhaust system components, including mufflers, catalytic converters, and oxygen sensors to ensure vehicle compliance and performance.
- Address and repair fuel system issues, including the replacement of fuel pumps, injectors, and filters.
- Stay current with the latest automotive technology, repair techniques, and industry trends through continuous training and self-study.
- Manage your daily and weekly schedule effectively to maximize productivity, minimize travel time, and meet appointment commitments.
- Provide exceptional customer service by building trust, providing education on vehicle care, and ensuring a positive and professional interaction from start to finish.

Required Skills & Competencies
Hard Skills (Technical)
- Advanced Diagnostics: Proficiency with modern OEM and aftermarket scan tools (e.g., Autel, Snap-on, Launch) for comprehensive vehicle diagnostics.
- ASE Certifications: A-series certifications (A1-A8) are highly preferred, with a Master Technician certification being a significant advantage.
- Electrical System Expertise: Strong ability to read wiring diagrams and diagnose/repair complex electrical issues, including shorts, opens, and parasitic draws.
- Brake and Suspension Systems: In-depth knowledge of hydraulic brake systems, ABS, traction control, and modern suspension components.
