Core Responsibilities
Primary Functions
- Monitor enterprise networks, servers, applications, and cloud infrastructure using NOC monitoring tools and dashboards on a 24/7 basis.
- Identify, analyze, and respond to system alerts, performance degradation, outages, and security-related events.
- Perform initial troubleshooting of network, server, and application issues to determine root cause and impact.
- Escalate incidents to Tier 2, Tier 3, or specialized engineering teams following defined escalation procedures.
- Document incidents, actions taken, and resolutions in ticketing systems to ensure accurate tracking and reporting.
- Coordinate incident response activities and communicate status updates to internal teams and stakeholders.
- Monitor bandwidth utilization, latency, packet loss, and system health metrics to ensure service level objectives are met.
- Perform routine checks on network devices, servers, firewalls, load balancers, and virtual infrastructure.
- Support change management activities by monitoring systems during scheduled maintenance and deployments.
- Execute standard operating procedures for incident response, failover, and recovery scenarios.
- Assist with troubleshooting connectivity issues including LAN, WAN, VPN, and internet-facing services.
- Analyze logs from network devices, servers, and applications to identify anomalies or recurring issues.
- Proactively identify potential risks or trends and recommend preventative actions.
