Core Responsibilities

Primary Functions

  • Develop comprehensive project plans, including detailed scope, timelines, milestones, and resource allocation, ensuring alignment with grant deliverables and strategic objectives.
  • Lead the end-to-end management of multiple, often complex, projects simultaneously, from the initial planning phase through execution, monitoring, and final closeout.
  • Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate project risks, developing contingency plans to address potential challenges to timeline, budget, or project outcomes.
  • Establish and manage detailed project budgets, meticulously tracking all expenditures, processing invoices, and ensuring compliance with funder restrictions and financial policies.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all project stakeholders, including internal staff, community partners, volunteers, government agencies, and beneficiaries, fostering strong, collaborative relationships.
  • Facilitate regular project status meetings with cross-functional teams to ensure clear communication, alignment on goals, and timely resolution of roadblocks.
  • Develop and maintain a robust monitoring and evaluation (M&E) framework to track project progress against key performance indicators (KPIs) and measure social impact.
  • Prepare and submit timely, accurate, and compelling narrative and financial reports for funders, board members, and other key stakeholders, showcasing project achievements and impact.
  • Oversee the procurement of goods and services, including managing vendor relationships, contracts, and agreements in accordance with organizational policies.
  • Ensure all project activities adhere to legal, ethical, and organizational standards, as well as specific grant and contract compliance requirements.
  • Champion the use of project management tools and best practices across the organization to improve efficiency, transparency, and collaboration.
  • Manage and support project team members, volunteers, and consultants, providing clear direction, delegating tasks, and fostering a positive, mission-focused team environment.
  • Document all project-related activities, decisions, and outcomes, creating a knowledge base and lessons-learned repository for future initiatives.
  • Coordinate and lead project kick-off and close-out meetings, ensuring all team members and stakeholders are aligned at the start and that learnings are captured at the end.
  • Translate high-level strategic goals into actionable project tasks and workflows that can be effectively implemented by the project team.

Education & Experience

Educational Background

Minimum Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree

Preferred Education:

Experience working with and managing diverse stakeholders, including community-based partners and vulnerable populations.
