Core Responsibilities

Primary Functions

  • Develop, implement, and evaluate innovative programs that align with the organization's mission and strategic goals, including curriculum development, workshop facilitation, and outcome tracking.
  • Cultivate and steward relationships with a diverse portfolio of individual donors, corporate partners, and foundations through personalized communication, impact reporting, and engagement opportunities.
  • Plan and execute community outreach initiatives, partnership-building events, and educational workshops to raise awareness of our services, recruit program participants, and foster strong community ties.
  • Manage the complete lifecycle for a portfolio of small to mid-size grants, including prospecting, proposal writing, budget creation, submission, and post-award reporting and compliance.
  • Recruit, onboard, train, and manage a dedicated team of volunteers, ensuring a positive and impactful experience through regular communication, recognition events, and performance feedback.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the organization’s CRM system (e.g., Salesforce, Blackbaud), tracking constituent interactions, donations, and program participation to inform strategy.
  • Assist in the planning and execution of fundraising campaigns and special events, coordinating logistics, managing vendor relationships, and supporting sponsorship outreach.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for program participants and community members, providing resources, support, and information with empathy and professionalism.
  • Monitor program budgets, track expenses, and provide regular financial reports to ensure alignment with grant requirements and organizational financial health.
  • Create compelling communications content, including newsletters, social media posts, impact stories, and annual reports, to engage stakeholders and showcase program success.
  • Represent the organization at community meetings, conferences, and networking events to build brand visibility and establish strategic partnerships.
  • Collaborate with the leadership team to set annual program goals, define key performance indicators (KPIs), and develop strategies for sustainable growth and impact.
  • Conduct needs assessments and gather feedback from the community and program participants to ensure our services remain relevant, effective, and responsive.

Secondary Functions

  • Support ad-hoc data requests and exploratory data analysis to uncover trends in donor behavior or program outcomes.
  • Contribute to the organization's data strategy and roadmap by ensuring data integrity and advocating for best practices in data collection.
  • Collaborate with communications and marketing teams to translate program data and impact stories into compelling narratives for public consumption.
  • Participate in sprint planning and agile ceremonies if the organization utilizes such methodologies for project management.
  • Provide logistical and administrative support for board meetings and committee activities as needed.
  • Research best practices and emerging trends in the nonprofit sector to inform program design and operational improvements.
  • Assist in the development of training materials and resources for both internal staff and external partners.
  • Support senior leadership with research and preparation for major donor meetings and foundation site visits.

  • CRM Software: Proficiency in nonprofit CRMs like Salesforce (NPSP), Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge, EveryAction, or similar donor management platforms.
  • Grant Writing & Research: Experience identifying grant opportunities and writing clear, persuasive, and successful grant proposals.
  • Program Management: Ability to design, implement, and evaluate programs, including logic model development and outcome measurement.
  • Budget Management: Experience creating and tracking program or project budgets, ensuring adherence to financial constraints.

Education & Experience

Educational Background

Minimum Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree
