Core Responsibilities
Primary Functions
- Develop, implement, and continuously evaluate comprehensive educational programs, orientation schedules, and in-services for the nursing staff to ensure competency and adherence to evidence-based practice.
- Conduct thorough organizational and unit-level needs assessments to identify learning gaps and inform the development of targeted educational curricula and professional development plans.

- Plan, coordinate, and facilitate the comprehensive orientation and onboarding process for new nursing hires, including RNs, LPNs, and ancillary staff, ensuring a smooth transition and foundational competency.

- Create, review, and systematically update educational materials, including learner manuals, online modules, job aids, instructional videos, and competency checklists.
- Act as a visible change agent by assisting staff in understanding, adopting, and sustaining changes related to patient care standards, clinical workflows, and hospital-wide initiatives.

- Coordinate and promote continuing education (CE/CEU) activities, ensuring compliance with state board of nursing requirements and fostering lifelong learning for licensure renewal.
