Core Responsibilities
Primary Functions
- Perform end-to-end onsite installations and commissioning of systems and equipment according to manufacturer specifications, technical drawings, and project schedules, ensuring first-time-right deployment.
- Conduct comprehensive site surveys and pre-installation assessments to validate power, grounding, HVAC, rack space, network connectivity, and other site readiness criteria before deployment.
- Execute structured troubleshooting and root-cause analysis for hardware, firmware, network, and system failures using diagnostic tools, multimeters, oscilloscopes, and vendor-specific utilities.
- Perform preventive maintenance and periodic inspections to minimize downtime, extend asset life, and ensure equipment operates within required tolerances and SLAs.
- Implement hardware and software upgrades, patches, and firmware updates during scheduled maintenance windows, coordinating with clients to minimize service interruptions.
- Install, terminate, and test cabling, connectors, power distribution units, and grounding systems following best practices and regulatory standards (NEC, IEC, local codes).
- Configure and validate network interfaces, IP addressing, VLANs, and remote access methods for equipment integration into client environments and monitoring systems.
- Execute safety-critical activities such as live work coordination, lockout-tagout (LOTO), confined-space entry support, and electrical isolation per OSHA and company safety procedures.
- Provide on-site technical training and handover to customers and local support teams, including written runbooks, as-built documentation, and operational checklists.
- Generate and maintain accurate service reports, test records, commissioning logs, and change-control documentation in the company’s CRM or ticketing system.
- Liaise with project managers, engineering, QA, and subcontractors to resolve site-specific issues, expedite parts, and ensure milestones are met on time and within scope.
- Manage spare parts inventory at the field level, recommend replenishment and lifecycle replacement plans, and perform repairs using soldering, component replacement, or calibrated spares.
- Escalate systemic or recurring technical issues to product engineering, providing detailed failure analysis, logs, and reproduction steps to drive permanent fixes.
- Enforce and document compliance with site access, security clearance, and client-specific safety and privacy policies while representing the company professionally.
- Coordinate logistics for site visits including permits, crane lifts, rigging, temporary power, and scoping for specialized tools or hoists when required by the project.
- Perform mechanical alignment, calibration, and precision adjustment of sensors, antennas, pumps, motors, and optical or RF equipment to meet performance specifications.
- Support acceptance testing, SAT (Site Acceptance Testing) and FAT (Factory Acceptance Testing) processes and obtain customer sign-off at project milestones.
- Troubleshoot and repair power-related issues such as UPS, battery systems, breakers, and switchgear, working with certified electricians as needed.
- Provide weekend, night, or emergency on-call support on a rotational basis to restore critical systems per agreed SLA response and resolution times.
- Lead ad-hoc site remediation projects including retrofits, re-racks, decommissioning, and asset relocation while minimizing impact to live services.
- Mentor junior field engineers and technicians on best practices for onsite safety, documentation, and complex troubleshooting methodologies.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives onsite—capture lessons learned, optimize service procedures, and reduce mean time to repair (MTTR).
Secondary Functions
- Support pre-sales site assessments, technical scoping, and feasibility studies to inform proposals, pricing, and project timelines.
- Assist product and operations teams with field feedback for feature enhancements, reliability improvements, and installation simplifications.

Required Skills & Competencies
Hard Skills (Technical)

Educational Background
Minimum Education:
