Primary Functions

- Use handheld RF scanners, mobile devices, or inventory systems to pick, scan, and update stock quantities, ensuring real-time inventory accuracy and traceability.
- Prepare and stage merchandise for the sales floor by breaking down cases, bagging loose items, and ensuring packaging meets merchandising standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the stockroom, back dock, aisles, and cooler/freezer areas by removing debris, disposing of cardboard, and following recycling procedures.
- Assist with temperature monitoring and logging for refrigerated and frozen products, and follow established temperature control procedures to protect product safety and compliance.
- Collaborate with overnight and day shift management to communicate inventory needs, expected shortages, and backstock issues to support ordering and replenishment planning.
- Support loss prevention efforts by following security procedures, reporting suspicious activity, and securing high-risk items overnight.
- Pick and fulfill online pickup or ship-from-store orders during overnight shifts, ensuring order accuracy and timely staging for customer pickup or carrier collection.
- Build and rotate pallets, shrink-wrap product, and prepare outbound shipments or transfers for distribution centers or other stores as required.
- Troubleshoot stocking or equipment issues, perform basic maintenance (e.g., replace light bulbs, report broken shelving), and coordinate repairs with facilities or maintenance teams.
- Follow all safety protocols, use personal protective equipment (PPE), participate in safety reviews, and attend required training sessions for hazardous materials handling when applicable.
