Primary Functions

  • Supervise and coordinate all overnight activities: lead a team of associates, assign tasks and monitor performance to meet productivity, service and safety standards across the shift.
  • Open and close the facility or store following corporate procedures, conduct opening inspections, secure entrances and exits, and verify alarm and surveillance operation before and after shift.

  • Execute loss prevention and security protocols: monitor CCTV, perform regular patrols of premises, document suspicious activity, initiate incident reports, and coordinate with security vendors or law enforcement when required.
  • Conduct daily overnight inventory control: receive and verify deliveries, perform cycle counts, replenish stock, and document discrepancies for morning management review.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and regulatory requirements: enforce OSHA and local safety rules, maintain clean and safe work areas, and respond to safety incidents immediately.
  • Provide service recovery and handle escalations during the night shift: resolve customer complaints, manage escalated issues, and ensure follow-up notes for daytime management.
  • Train, coach, and mentor overnight staff: deliver onboarding for new hires, provide continuous feedback, conduct performance evaluations, and lead skill development initiatives to improve team capabilities.
  • Coordinate vendor and contractor access for overnight deliveries, maintenance, and repairs, ensuring proper documentation, safety checks, and minimal disruption to operations.

  • Maintain and troubleshoot basic building systems overnight (lighting, HVAC, alarms) and escalate maintenance issues appropriately with clear documentation for next-day follow-up.
  • Enforce product storage, rotation and merchandising standards overnight to ensure shelves, backrooms and displays are ready for morning business and promotional launches.
  • Conduct nightly training refreshers on critical operating procedures (cash handling, safety protocols, emergency evacuation) and maintain records of completed trainings.

Secondary Functions

  • Support ad-hoc reporting and data entry related to overnight operations, incident logs and inventory adjustments to maintain accurate records for morning audits.
  • Assist with seasonal or special event overnight planning (inventory counts, promotional set-up, facility preparation) and coordinate cross-functional resources for seamless execution.

Educational Background

Minimum Education:
