Core Responsibilities
Primary Functions
- Manage and maintain complete case files, including indexing, version control, and chronological document organization to ensure quick retrieval and audit readiness.
- Draft, proofread, and format pleadings, motions, affidavits, subpoenas, discovery requests and responses, settlement agreements, contracts, and correspondence for attorney review and filing.
- Conduct complex legal research using Westlaw, LexisNexis, Bloomberg Law, public records, and other primary and secondary sources; summarize legal authorities and prepare research memoranda for attorneys.
- Prepare and file court documents through CM/ECF or local court e-filing systems, ensure compliance with local rules, and track filing deadlines and service of process requirements.
- Coordinate and manage all aspects of discovery: collect, review, tag and produce discovery documents, manage privilege logs, coordinate with vendors for scanning and processing, and supervise document review teams.
- Operate e-discovery platforms such as Relativity, Concordance, Logikcull, or Everlaw to upload, process, filter, search, and produce electronic evidence; prepare load files and production sets.
- Prepare deposition notices, coordinate logistics with court reporters and interpreters, assemble witness binders and exhibit lists, and attend depositions to take notes and coordinate exhibits.
- Draft and organize trial exhibits, trial notebooks, demonstratives, witness statements, witness lists, jury instructions and trial witness summaries; coordinate trial logistics and exhibit numbering.
- Support due diligence for mergers & acquisitions by coordinating document requests, assembling diligence binders, drafting due diligence reports, and summarizing contract terms and corporate records.
- Assist with corporate maintenance tasks including preparing board minutes, corporate resolutions, filings with state authorities, and maintaining capitalization tables and statutory books.

- Assist in investigations by collecting witness statements, compiling evidence, maintaining chain of custody, and preparing investigative reports and privilege assessments.
- Organize and execute document retention and archiving processes in accordance with firm policies and applicable regulations, including defensible disposition and litigation hold management.
- Liaise with courts, government agencies, opposing counsel, expert vendors, and service providers to schedule hearings, manage filings, and coordinate discovery and service logistics.
- Supervise and train junior paralegals, interns, and assistants, assign tasks, review work product for quality and accuracy, and contribute to process standardization.
- Prepare immigration filings, patent or trademark submissions, or other specialty filings as needed by practice area, ensuring adherence to strict statutory and administrative requirements.
- Draft and manage settlement documentation, releases, closing binders, and post-settlement administrative tasks, including disbursement instructions and compliance reporting.

Education & Experience
Educational Background
Minimum Education:
- Associate degree in Paralegal Studies or Bachelor's degree in any field; or equivalent combination of education and paralegal certificate.
Preferred Education:
- Bachelor’s degree plus ABA-approved Paralegal Certificate or Associate Degree in Paralegal Studies.
