Core Responsibilities

Primary Functions

  • Lead and execute end-to-end process improvement projects, from initial analysis and design to implementation and post-launch monitoring, ensuring alignment with strategic business goals.
  • Conduct detailed process discovery sessions, workshops, and interviews with stakeholders across all levels of the organization to capture 'as-is' process flows and critical pain points.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive process documentation, including flowcharts, value stream maps, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and business requirements documents using tools like Visio, Lucidchart, or BPMN.
  • Analyze and measure the effectiveness of existing business processes by establishing key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to track performance, identify waste, and quantify improvement opportunities.
  • Design innovative and scalable 'to-be' processes that enhance efficiency, reduce cycle times, minimize errors, and improve both internal user and external customer experiences.
  • Champion the adoption of Lean, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement methodologies to build a sustainable culture of operational excellence throughout the company.
  • Develop and present compelling business cases for process change initiatives, clearly articulating the potential ROI, resource requirements, and risk assessments to senior leadership.
  • Serve as a key change agent, developing and implementing robust change management plans to ensure smooth adoption of new processes and systems with minimal business disruption.
  • Collaborate closely with IT, product, and engineering teams to translate process requirements into technical specifications for system enhancements and automation solutions.
  • Manage a diverse portfolio of process improvement initiatives, providing regular status updates, managing project timelines, and proactively mitigating risks to ensure successful delivery.
  • Facilitate cross-functional team meetings and kaizen events to brainstorm solutions, resolve complex roadblocks, and drive consensus on process design and implementation strategies.
  • Perform rigorous root cause analysis (RCA) on operational failures and process deviations to identify underlying issues and implement effective corrective and preventive actions.
  • Establish and govern a central process management framework, including standards for process ownership, documentation, review cycles, and performance monitoring.
  • Train and mentor team members and business stakeholders on new processes, tools, and continuous improvement principles to foster widespread capability and engagement.
  • Evaluate and recommend new technologies and software that can support process automation, monitoring, and optimization efforts, such as RPA and process mining tools.
  • Conduct benchmarking studies against industry best practices to identify new opportunities for innovation and competitive advantage in our core operations.
  • Develop and implement control plans and monitoring dashboards to ensure that performance gains from implemented process improvements are sustained over the long term.
  • Act as the primary liaison between business units and technical teams, ensuring clear communication, mutual understanding, and alignment throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Manage stakeholder expectations by clearly communicating project scopes, timelines, progress, and outcomes, ensuring consistent buy-in and support from all involved parties.
  • Define and manage the governance structure for process changes, ensuring that all modifications are properly vetted, approved, documented, and communicated across the organization.
  • Lead post-implementation reviews to assess the success of process changes against initial objectives and capture key lessons learned for future initiatives.
  • Synthesize complex data from multiple sources into actionable insights and clear, concise recommendations tailored for an executive-level audience.

Secondary Functions

  • Support ad-hoc data requests and exploratory data analysis to investigate emerging operational trends.
  • Contribute to the organization's broader data and operational strategy and long-term roadmap.
  • Collaborate with business units to translate their strategic goals and data needs into concrete engineering and process requirements.
  • Participate in sprint planning, retrospectives, and other agile ceremonies within cross-functional project teams.

Required Skills & Competencies
