Core Responsibilities
Primary Functions
- Conduct comprehensive spend analysis across all business units to identify trends, pinpoint cost-saving opportunities, and inform strategic sourcing decisions.
- Develop and maintain complex cost models and "should-cost" analyses to support negotiations and ensure competitive pricing from suppliers.
- Design, build, and manage sophisticated dashboards and reports to track key procurement metrics, such as savings, supplier performance, and compliance.
- Analyze and interpret large, complex datasets from various sources (ERP, P2P systems) to generate actionable insights and strategic recommendations.
- Support Category Managers in the development and execution of sourcing strategies, including market research, supplier discovery, and risk assessment.
- Manage the Request for Proposal (RFP), Request for Quotation (RFQ), and Request for Information (RFI) processes, from creation to bid analysis and supplier selection.
- Monitor and evaluate supplier performance against contractual obligations and key performance indicators (KPIs), leading regular business reviews with strategic vendors.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders across Finance, Legal, and Operations to understand their requirements and ensure procurement solutions meet business needs.
- Identify and implement process improvements within the procure-to-pay (P2P) lifecycle to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve user experience.
- Perform deep-dive market intelligence research to stay ahead of industry trends, commodity price fluctuations, and emerging technologies that could impact the supply chain.
- Administer and analyze supplier contracts, ensuring compliance with terms, conditions, and pricing agreements, and tracking key dates for renewals or renegotiations.
- Create compelling business cases and presentations for senior leadership to justify sourcing recommendations and procurement initiatives.
- Track and report on realized cost savings and cost avoidance, ensuring proper validation and alignment with Finance department standards.
- Lead or participate in cross-functional projects aimed at optimizing the supply chain, reducing risk, and driving continuous improvement.
- Manage procurement system data integrity, ensuring accuracy of supplier information, item masters, and pricing data within ERP systems like SAP or Oracle.
Secondary Functions
- Support the supplier onboarding and qualification process, including financial health assessments and due diligence activities.
- Assist in the negotiation of commercial terms with suppliers to achieve favorable outcomes for the company.
- Investigate and resolve purchase order and invoice discrepancies by working with suppliers and Accounts Payable.

Required Skills & Competencies
Hard Skills (Technical)
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, complex formulas, and data modeling.
- Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems such as SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics 365.
- Proficiency in using data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, or Qlik to create insightful dashboards and reports.
- Strong knowledge of procurement, strategic sourcing principles, and procure-to-pay (P2P) processes.
- Experience with SQL for data querying, extraction, and manipulation from relational databases is highly desirable.
- Financial acumen and experience with cost modeling, TCO (Total Cost of Ownership) analysis, and business case development.
