Primary Functions

  • Develop, champion, and execute comprehensive procurement strategies that align with organizational goals, ensuring a consistent and effective approach to sourcing and purchasing.
  • Lead complex, high-value contract negotiations with key suppliers and vendors to secure advantageous terms, competitive pricing, and long-term, reliable partnerships.
  • Manage the end-to-end supplier relationship lifecycle, from initial sourcing, due diligence, and onboarding to performance evaluation, contract renewals, and issue resolution.
  • Conduct in-depth market analysis and research to identify emerging trends, potential new suppliers, and shifts in commodity pricing that could impact the business.
  • Spearhead the identification and execution of cost-saving and cost-avoidance initiatives, meticulously tracking performance against targets and reporting on financial impact.
  • Oversee the entire procure-to-pay (P2P) process, identifying bottlenecks and implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and user experience.
  • Develop and maintain a robust risk management framework for the supply chain, proactively identifying potential disruptions (geopolitical, financial, logistical) and creating contingency plans.
  • Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders across departments (e.g., Finance, Legal, Operations, R&D) to understand their requirements and ensure procurement solutions meet their needs.
  • Lead the preparation, issuance, and evaluation of Request for Proposals (RFPs), Request for Quotations (RFQs), and Request for Information (RFIs) for significant purchases.
  • Establish, monitor, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) for the procurement function, such as cost savings, supplier performance, contract compliance, and spend under management.
  • Ensure all procurement activities adhere to company policies, ethical standards, and relevant legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage and optimize the organization's spend portfolio by conducting detailed spend analysis, identifying consolidation opportunities, and developing category-specific sourcing strategies.
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to a team of procurement specialists or buyers, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous professional development.
  • Drive the selection, implementation, and adoption of procurement-related technologies and systems (e.g., e-procurement platforms, ERP modules) to automate and improve processes.
  • Prepare and present detailed procurement reports, business cases, and strategic recommendations to senior leadership and executive teams to inform decision-making.
  • Establish clear supplier performance metrics and conduct regular business reviews (QBRs) to hold suppliers accountable for quality, delivery, and service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Act as the central point of contact for all major procurement-related escalations, providing swift and effective resolution to complex issues.
  • Champion supplier diversity and sustainability initiatives within the procurement process, aligning sourcing decisions with the company's broader corporate social responsibility (CSR) goals.
  • Govern the purchasing systems and processes, ensuring data integrity, proper user access, and continuous improvement of the tools.
  • Evaluate and improve upon the existing procurement policy and standard operating procedures to ensure they remain relevant and effective.

  • Support internal and external audit processes by providing necessary documentation and explanations for procurement transactions and contracts.

Educational Background

Minimum Education:
