Core Responsibilities

Primary Functions

  • Safely and efficiently operate a variety of production line machinery and equipment, ensuring strict adherence to all standard operating procedures (SOPs) and manufacturer's guidelines.
  • Actively participate in the assembly of components and sub-assemblies, utilizing hand tools, power tools, and other equipment to construct final products.
  • Physically load raw materials, supplies, and components onto production lines and unload finished products for transfer to the next phase of production or warehousing.
  • Conduct continuous visual inspections of products at various stages of the manufacturing process to identify defects, blemishes, or deviations from quality standards.
  • Precisely package, label, and palletize finished goods according to customer specifications and internal guidelines, ensuring accurate counts and secure wrapping for shipment.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area by following 5S principles, sweeping floors, removing debris, and properly storing tools and materials.
  • Diligently follow all company safety protocols, including the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) like safety glasses, gloves, and steel-toed boots at all times.
  • Accurately complete production and quality control documentation, recording data such as production volume, downtime, and scrap rates.
  • Monitor equipment and machine operation, listening for unusual noises or signs of malfunction, and promptly report any issues to the shift supervisor or maintenance team.
  • Assist in the setup and changeover of production lines for different products, which may involve adjusting machinery, changing out tools, or re-configuring the workspace.
  • Handle and transport materials within the facility using manual equipment such as pallet jacks, hand trucks, and carts, ensuring materials are moved without damage.
  • Perform basic quality assurance tests on products, using simple measurement tools like calipers or gauges to ensure they meet required specifications.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members, supervisors, and quality assurance personnel to meet daily production targets and resolve any operational challenges.
  • Rotate through different workstations and tasks as required by the production schedule, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to learn multiple aspects of the production process.
