Core Responsibilities
Primary Functions
- Conduct routine quality inspections of incoming raw materials, in‑process products and finished goods to verify compliance with established specifications and standards.
- Perform a variety of physical, chemical and dimensional tests using calibrated instruments and tools, ensuring consistent adherence to testing protocols.
- Record, analyze and interpret quality test results and generate detailed inspection reports for internal distribution and documentation.
- Isolate, document and report non‑conforming materials or products, initiating appropriate corrective or preventative actions.
- Collaborate with production teams to identify quality issues, investigate root causes and recommend process improvements.
- Execute final product inspections, including visual checks and functional tests, to ensure finished goods meet company requirements before release.
- Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date quality control documentation, records and logs in quality management systems (QMS).
- Support internal and external audits by providing evidence, documentation and results linked to quality control activities.
- Assist in the development and implementation of quality control procedures, SOPs and testing protocols.
- Calibrate, maintain and verify inspection equipment and measurement tools to ensure precision and reliability.
- Participate in product and process validation, ensuring compliance with regulatory and industry quality standards such as ISO 9001 or GMP.
- Prepare and present summaries of quality trends and test findings to quality leads and management for decision making.
- Train and mentor new associates on quality control best practices, testing procedures and safety standards.
- Evaluate production material sampling plans and implement changes to increase inspection coverage where needed.
- Support corrective action tracking and verification by documenting root cause investigations and CAPA outcomes.
- Assist in environmental monitoring, contamination control, and sanitation verification where applicable.
- Work with laboratory information management systems (LIMS) and quality software to manage test data and quality documentation.
- Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) in all testing and quality activities.
- Engage with cross‑functional teams to support product development testing and prototype evaluations.
- Support corrective actions and quality improvement initiatives by providing data‑driven insights to engineering and production teams.
