Core Responsibilities
Primary Functions
- Operate heavy equipment such as loaders, excavators, haul trucks, bulldozers, and dump trucks to extract and move materials.
- Perform daily pre-start inspections on equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.
- Monitor material quality, size, and consistency during extraction and processing activities.
- Assist with blasting preparation activities under the direction of certified blasting personnel.
- Follow production schedules and coordinate with supervisors to meet daily output targets.
- Operate and monitor crushing, screening, and conveying equipment as required.
- Maintain safe haul roads, benches, and work areas within the quarry.
- Load raw materials and finished products for transport while ensuring proper weight and balance.
- Identify and report equipment malfunctions, wear, or safety hazards promptly.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as lubrication, cleaning, and basic mechanical adjustments.
- Ensure compliance with site-specific safety rules, MSHA/OSHA regulations, and company policies.
