Core Responsibilities
Primary Functions
- Host a compelling, entertaining, and locally-focused daily on-air show that adheres to the station's format, brand identity, and programming strategy.
- Operate all studio equipment, including the broadcast console, automation systems (e.g., WideOrbit, Zetta, NexGen), and digital audio editors, ensuring a technically flawless broadcast.
- Prepare and deliver timely and accurate information segments, such as news, weather forecasts, traffic updates, and community event announcements.
- Conduct engaging and well-researched live or pre-recorded interviews with guests, including artists, community leaders, and subject matter experts.
- Execute on-air contests and promotional activities flawlessly, effectively communicating rules and creating an exciting and fair listener experience.
- Regulate program timing, operate the broadcast board, and seamlessly transition between music, speech, and commercial elements to maintain program flow.
- Announce station programming information, such as station identifications, upcoming show promotions, and public service announcements.
- Adhere strictly to all Federal Communications Commission (FCC) rules and regulations, as well as station policies, regarding on-air content and conduct.
