Primary Functions
- Develop, construct, and optimize complex train schedules and timetables for both passenger and freight services, ensuring they meet service level agreements and commercial objectives.

- Collaborate extensively with internal and external stakeholders, including train operating companies, infrastructure managers, maintenance teams, and regulatory bodies, to ensure cohesive and integrated planning.
- Develop comprehensive contingency plans and operational strategies to mitigate the impact of service disruptions, incidents, and unforeseen delays on the network.
- Analyze historical performance data, punctuality metrics, and delay attribution reports to identify trends and recommend targeted improvements to the timetable.
- Translate long-term strategic business goals and passenger growth forecasts into tangible, phased timetable enhancements and future service specifications.
- Prepare and present detailed planning documents, graphical representations of schedules (string-line diagrams), and business cases for proposed service changes to senior management.
- Ensure all developed plans and schedules strictly adhere to national and regional railway operating rules, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Participate in the planning and integration of new railway lines, extensions, or major infrastructure projects into the existing operational network.
