Core Responsibilities

Primary Functions

  • Serve as the designated Broker of Record, ensuring the brokerage complies with all local, state, and provincial real estate laws and regulations.
  • Supervise, mentor, and support licensed real estate agents within the brokerage.
  • Review and approve real estate transactions to ensure accuracy, legality, and compliance.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of licensing requirements and ensure all agents meet continuing education obligations.
  • Develop and enforce brokerage policies, procedures, and operational standards.
  • Monitor financial performance, including commissions, fees, and brokerage profitability.
  • Conduct periodic audits of agent transactions, files, and documentation for compliance and risk management.
  • Serve as a liaison with regulatory bodies, real estate boards, and industry associations.
  • Oversee marketing and promotional strategies for the brokerage to attract new clients and retain existing ones.
  • Resolve client complaints, disputes, and legal issues related to brokerage activities.
  • Establish and maintain contracts with vendors, partners, and service providers for operational support.
  • Ensure all marketing materials, listings, and digital content comply with legal and ethical standards.
  • Approve and maintain real estate trust accounts and ensure proper handling of client funds.
  • Facilitate training programs and workshops for agents on compliance, ethics, and best practices.

  • Review and negotiate brokerage agreements, leases, and partnership contracts.
  • Support strategic growth initiatives, including expansion into new markets or property segments.

  • Evaluate and implement technology solutions to improve brokerage operations, document management, and client services.
  • Act as the ultimate point of accountability for all brokerage operations, decisions, and legal obligations.
