Core Responsibilities
Primary Functions
- Design, plan, and implement a diverse and balanced portfolio of recreational, social, and cultural programs for various demographics, including youth, teens, adults, and seniors.
- Conduct comprehensive community needs assessments using surveys, public forums, and data analysis to identify programming gaps and ensure offerings are relevant and in-demand.

- Create and implement multi-channel marketing and promotional plans to drive program enrollment and enhance public awareness, utilizing social media, digital newsletters, press releases, and print materials.
- Serve as the primary liaison for program participants, providing exceptional customer service by responding to inquiries, addressing concerns, and resolving conflicts in a timely and professional manner.
- Establish and nurture collaborative partnerships with local schools, community groups, businesses, and non-profit organizations to expand program offerings and leverage shared resources.
- Oversee the entire participant registration process, including managing online and in-person sign-ups, processing payments, maintaining waitlists, and handling cancellations using recreation management software.
- Develop and execute robust program evaluation strategies, collecting participant feedback and analyzing attendance data to measure success and inform future planning.
- Ensure a safe and inclusive environment for all participants and staff by developing, implementing, and enforcing risk management protocols and emergency action plans.
- Prepare and present comprehensive reports detailing program statistics, financial performance, participation trends, and key outcomes to leadership and stakeholders.
- Lead the planning and execution of large-scale community special events, from initial concept and committee leadership through to day-of coordination and post-event debriefing.
- Stay current with emerging trends, innovations, and best practices in the parks and recreation field to continuously improve and modernize program offerings.
- Identify and pursue grant opportunities, sponsorships, and other alternative funding sources to support new and existing programs.
- Ensure all programs, services, and facilities are compliant with accessibility standards (e.g., ADA) to promote an inclusive environment for individuals of all abilities.
- Manage the inventory of program supplies and athletic equipment, conducting regular checks, coordinating maintenance, and making recommendations for new purchases.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive program guides and seasonal schedules, ensuring all information is accurate, up-to-date, and effectively communicated to the public.
- Act as a visible and positive ambassador for the department at community meetings, outreach events, and professional industry conferences.

Secondary Functions

Educational Background
Minimum Education:
