Core Responsibilities
Primary Functions
- Provide direct leadership, mentorship, and supervision to a diverse team of recreation attendants, lifeguards, and activity coordinators, ensuring high performance and professional development.
- Conceptualize, plan, and execute a comprehensive and engaging calendar of recreational activities, events, and programs tailored to a diverse guest or resident demographic.
- Oversee the daily operations of all recreational facilities, including pools, fitness centers, sports courts, and activity centers, ensuring they are clean, safe, and fully operational.
- Act as the primary point of contact for guest inquiries, feedback, and concerns related to recreational activities, resolving issues promptly and professionally to ensure a positive experience.
- Develop, implement, and rigorously enforce all safety protocols, emergency action plans, and standard operating procedures for recreational areas and activities.
- Manage the departmental budget, including tracking expenses, processing invoices, and forecasting future needs for supplies, equipment, and staffing.
- Conduct regular inspections of all recreational equipment and facilities to identify potential hazards, maintenance needs, or repair requirements, and coordinate resolutions.
- Create and manage staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage for all facilities and programs while adhering to labor budgets and regulations.
- Lead the recruitment, hiring, and onboarding process for new recreation team members, ensuring they are well-versed in company culture and service standards.
- Facilitate regular team meetings and training sessions on topics such as customer service, safety procedures, and new program implementation.
- Monitor and analyze program attendance, guest feedback, and revenue generation to assess the effectiveness of current offerings and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Procure and maintain an appropriate inventory of supplies, retail merchandise, and equipment needed for all recreational programs and services.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as Marketing, Sales, and Food & Beverage, to cross-promote activities and create integrated guest experiences.

- Prepare and submit detailed operational reports to management, summarizing daily activities, incidents, guest feedback, and key performance indicators.

Experience Requirements
Typical Experience Range:
