Core Responsibilities

Primary Functions

  • Conduct in-depth, ongoing analysis of regional sales performance, customer behavior, and product mix to identify key trends, growth drivers, and areas for improvement.

  • Collaborate closely with regional sales and marketing teams to support territory planning, quota setting, and campaign performance measurement through rigorous data analysis.
  • Build and refine sophisticated forecasting models to project regional revenue, sales volume, and market growth, ensuring accuracy and alignment with corporate targets.
  • Translate complex business questions from stakeholders into structured analytical projects, defining methodologies, sourcing data, and delivering clear, actionable answers.
  • Monitor and analyze the regional P&L (Profit & Loss) statement, investigating variances in revenue and expenses to ensure the region is meeting its financial objectives.
  • Identify and quantify operational inefficiencies within the region by analyzing supply chain, logistics, and operational data, proposing data-backed solutions for optimization.
  • Support the annual strategic planning and budgeting process by providing historical data analysis, trend insights, and data-driven growth scenarios for the region.
  • Act as the primary data steward for the region, ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and consistency across all reporting and analytical platforms.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness and ROI of regional initiatives, promotions, and marketing campaigns by designing measurement frameworks and analyzing post-launch performance data.
  • Create and manage a repository of standardized reports and analytical tools to enable self-service data access for business users within the region.
  • Synthesize large, complex datasets from disparate sources (e.g., CRM, ERP, third-party market data) into a cohesive and understandable narrative for a non-technical audience.
  • Partner with the central data science and engineering teams to specify regional data requirements and contribute to the development of broader enterprise data assets.
  • Conduct ad-hoc geospatial analysis to understand geographic patterns in sales, customer distribution, and market penetration, informing location-based strategies.
  • Track customer lifecycle metrics within the region, including acquisition, retention, and churn, to develop strategies that enhance customer lifetime value.
  • Provide analytical support for new market entry or expansion projects, including market sizing, demographic analysis, and initial performance benchmarking.
  • Lead training sessions for regional team members on how to use analytical tools and interpret standard reports, fostering a data-literate culture.
