Core Responsibilities
Primary Functions
- Lead, mentor, and develop a distributed team of engineers and engineering managers, fostering a culture of high performance, collaboration, and accountability.
- Direct and oversee the entire project lifecycle for all capital and operational engineering projects within the region, from initial feasibility and design to execution, commissioning, and handover.
- Develop and manage the regional engineering budget, including capital expenditure (CapEx) and operational expenditure (OpEx), ensuring projects are delivered on time and within financial constraints.
- Drive the strategic technical roadmap for the region, identifying opportunities for innovation, process optimization, and technology adoption to enhance operational efficiency and product quality.
- Act as the senior technical advisor for the region, providing expert guidance on complex engineering challenges and making critical decisions on technical trade-offs.
- Manage and cultivate relationships with key internal stakeholders, including Operations, Finance, and Product teams, to ensure engineering efforts are aligned with broader business goals.
- Ensure all engineering activities and projects comply with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as internal safety, quality, and environmental standards.
- Champion and implement best practices in project management, engineering design, and operational excellence across all sites in the region.
- Conduct regular performance reviews, provide constructive feedback, and create development plans to support the career growth of your team members.
- Oversee vendor and contractor selection, negotiation, and management to ensure high-quality-of-work and cost-effective partnerships.
