Core Responsibilities

Primary Functions

  • Conduct comprehensive, client-centered Reiki healing sessions, utilizing traditional hand positions and intuitive techniques to channel universal life force energy for balancing and healing.
  • Perform thorough initial client consultations to understand their health history, wellness goals, and specific reasons for seeking Reiki, ensuring a tailored and effective treatment plan.
  • Create and maintain a serene, safe, and sacred healing environment that promotes deep relaxation and trust, ensuring the space is energetically cleansed before and after each session.
  • Assess the client's energy field (aura and chakras) before, during, and after sessions to identify blockages, imbalances, and areas requiring focused attention.
  • Provide clear and compassionate post-session feedback, offering intuitive insights and practical guidance to help clients integrate the healing experience into their daily lives.
  • Educate clients on the principles of Reiki, the chakra system, and the mind-body-spirit connection to empower them in their personal wellness journey.
  • Maintain meticulous, confidential, and professional client records, documenting session notes, client progress, and any communicated feedback in compliance with privacy standards.
  • Develop and customize long-term treatment plans for clients with chronic conditions or ongoing wellness goals, scheduling follow-up sessions to ensure continuity of care.
  • Employ a variety of Reiki symbols and advanced techniques, including distance healing, to provide flexible and accessible healing options for remote clients or special circumstances.
  • Uphold the highest standards of professional ethics and integrity, including maintaining clear energetic and personal boundaries with all clients.
  • Practice consistent self-care and personal Reiki practice to maintain your own energetic hygiene and ensure you are a clear and effective channel for healing energy.
  • Integrate complementary healing modalities such as crystal therapy, aromatherapy, or sound healing into sessions when appropriate and with client consent, to enhance the therapeutic effect.
  • Facilitate group Reiki sessions, healing circles, or introductory workshops to expand the reach of services and build a sense of community.

Secondary Functions

  • Collaborate with other wellness practitioners (such as massage therapists, acupuncturists, and counselors) to create integrated client care plans.
  • Participate in marketing and promotional activities, including writing blog posts, participating in wellness fairs, and managing social media content to attract new clients.
  • Manage appointment scheduling, client communications, and payment processing in an organized and professional manner.
  • Stay current with developments in the fields of energy medicine, holistic health, and spiritual wellness through continuous education and professional development.
  • Contribute to the positive and collaborative atmosphere of the wellness center by supporting colleagues and participating in team meetings.
  • Maintain a clean, stocked, and organized treatment room, ensuring all supplies like linens, oils, and crystals are readily available and hygienically handled.
  • Actively solicit client feedback and testimonials to continuously improve the quality of service and for use in marketing materials with explicit permission.
  • Offer guidance on meditation techniques, breathing exercises, and other self-healing practices that clients can use between sessions to support their well-being.

Required Skills & Competencies

Hard Skills (Technical)

  • Reiki Certification: Certified in Usui Reiki Level II is required; Reiki Master/Teacher certification is strongly preferred.
  • Chakra System Knowledge: Deep understanding of the seven primary chakras, their functions, and techniques for balancing them.
  • Energy Field Assessment: Ability to intuitively scan and interpret the human energy field (aura) to detect imbalances.
  • Distance Healing: Proficiency in performing effective remote or distance Reiki sessions.
  • Knowledge of Complementary Modalities: Familiarity with integrating tools like crystals, essential oils, tuning forks, or sound bowls.
  • Client Record Management: Experience with maintaining confidential and organized client notes, either digitally or physically.

Education & Experience

Educational Background

Minimum Education:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Formal certification in Reiki Level II from a reputable Reiki Master/Teacher.

  • Reiki Master/Teacher Certification.
  • Certification or licensure in a related wellness field (e.g., Massage Therapy, Yoga Instruction, Health Coaching, Counseling).
