Primary Functions
- Proactively engage with new and existing clients through in-person meetings, phone calls, and digital outreach to build and maintain a strong portfolio of relationships.
- Conduct comprehensive, consultative financial needs assessments to uncover clients' short-term and long-term financial goals, challenges, and life events.
- Recommend, explain, and sell a wide range of suitable financial products and services, including checking/savings accounts, credit cards, personal loans, mortgages, and basic investment services.
- Drive branch growth and achieve or exceed individual and team sales targets by effectively cross-selling and upselling banking solutions based on identified client needs.
- Act as the primary point of contact for a dedicated client portfolio, providing exceptional, white-glove service and conducting regular financial check-ins and account reviews.
- Guide clients through the entire process of opening new accounts and onboarding them to the bank's services, ensuring a seamless and positive first impression.
- Educate and empower clients to use the bank's digital banking tools, including mobile apps and online banking, to enhance their convenience and self-service capabilities.
- Originate and process applications for consumer loans (such as auto loans and personal lines of credit), gathering all necessary documentation and ensuring compliance.
- Skillfully identify and refer clients with more complex needs to internal specialist partners, such as Financial Advisors, Mortgage Loan Officers, and Business Bankers, ensuring a warm handoff.
- Address and resolve complex client inquiries, issues, and complaints with empathy, professionalism, and a sense of urgency, taking ownership until a solution is found.
- Maintain a deep and current expertise in all bank products, services, policies, and promotions to serve as a knowledgeable and reliable resource for clients and colleagues.
- Proactively schedule appointments and manage your calendar to ensure a steady pipeline of client interactions and business development activities.
- Diligently document all client interactions, needs discovered, and sales activities in the bank's Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system to maintain accurate records.
- Actively participate in community engagement and networking events to represent the bank, build its brand presence, and source new business opportunities.
- Perform transactional duties with high accuracy, including processing deposits, withdrawals, and loan payments, while adhering to cash handling and security protocols.
Secondary Functions
- Actively participate in daily team huddles, sales meetings, and training sessions to share best practices, celebrate successes, and contribute to a high-performing branch culture.
- Ensure strict adherence to all banking regulations and internal policies, including the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), Know Your Customer (KYC), and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) procedures.
- Assist with branch operational duties as needed, including opening/closing procedures, vault management, and audit preparations to support the team.
- Mentor and provide guidance to Tellers and junior banking staff, helping them develop their product knowledge and client service skills.
