Core Responsibilities

Primary Functions

  • Mastering Daily Store Operations: Execute flawless opening and closing procedures, ensuring the store is customer-ready and secure, including managing cash floats and end-of-day reconciliation.
  • Leading Point-of-Sale Execution: Process customer transactions with high accuracy and efficiency, handling various payment types, returns, exchanges, and warranty claims with confidence and courtesy.
  • Driving Inventory Accuracy: Manage the full lifecycle of store inventory, from receiving and verifying shipments to executing precise stocking, conducting regular cycle counts, and investigating discrepancies.
  • Upholding Brand Presentation: Meticulously maintain the store’s cleanliness, organization, and safety standards, creating a welcoming and shoppable environment for every customer.
  • Delivering Exceptional Customer Support: Act as a key point of contact for customer issues, professionally resolving complaints and inquiries to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Managing Cash and Financials: Oversee all cash handling protocols, including preparing bank deposits, managing the safe, and reconciling daily sales reports to prevent financial loss.
  • Enforcing Loss Prevention Protocols: Actively implement and monitor all loss prevention strategies and asset protection policies to minimize shrink and safeguard company property.
  • Facilitating Product Flow: Coordinate logistics between the stockroom and the sales floor, ensuring a steady and efficient flow of merchandise to maintain optimal product availability.

  • Processing Order Fulfillment: Manage ship-from-store and buy-online-pickup-in-store (BOPIS) orders, ensuring timely and accurate picking, packing, and dispatch to meet customer expectations.
  • Maintaining Operational Equipment: Perform basic troubleshooting and maintenance for essential store technology, including POS terminals, payment devices, printers, and handheld scanners.
  • Providing Product Expertise: Develop and maintain a comprehensive knowledge of the store's products and services to effectively assist both customers and fellow team members.

Required Skills & Competencies

  • POS System Proficiency: Demonstrated ability to quickly learn and operate various Point-of-Sale (POS) systems for transactions, returns, and reporting.
  • Inventory Management Software: Experience using inventory control systems or software (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, or proprietary retail software) for cycle counts, receiving, and adjustments.
  • Microsoft Office Suite: Competency in using MS Office, particularly Excel for organizing data and creating simple reports, and Word/Outlook for communication.
  • Cash Handling and Reconciliation: Strong numeracy skills with proven experience in accurately handling cash, processing payments, and reconciling cash drawers and deposits.
