Core Responsibilities
Primary Functions
- Execute all merchandising directives and ensure visual consistency and brand standards are met across all assigned retail locations.
- Skillfully implement and maintain planograms, modular sets, and display schematics to ensure products are shelved and presented correctly.
- Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with store-level management and department staff to facilitate optimal product placement and promotional opportunities.
- Strategically place and refresh Point-of-Sale (POS) materials, including shelf tags, signage, and promotional displays, to attract customers and drive sales.
- Manage and maintain product inventory at the store level, including ordering, rotating stock (FIFO), and minimizing out-of-stocks and over-stocks.
- Proactively identify and correct any merchandising, inventory, or pricing issues, communicating with store personnel to ensure swift resolution.
- Assemble and install promotional displays, fixtures, and endcaps, ensuring they are clean, fully stocked, and visually appealing throughout the promotional period.
- Conduct regular store visits according to a planned route schedule, efficiently managing time to maximize effectiveness across multiple locations.
- Ensure all products are correctly priced and labeled on the shelf, performing price audits and correcting discrepancies as needed.
- Monitor product freshness and quality, removing any damaged, expired, or unsellable products from the sales floor according to company policy.
- Act as the eyes and ears of the brand in the field, gathering and reporting on competitive activity, sales trends, and store conditions.
- Educate and train retail store associates on product features, benefits, and brand messaging to empower them to sell more effectively.
- Complete detailed and accurate visit reports, sales data, and store audits in a timely manner using company-provided software or mobile applications.
- Negotiate for optimal shelf space, incremental displays, and prime product locations within the store to gain a competitive advantage.
- Pack out new shipments and back-stock to ensure the sales floor is consistently full and shoppable.
Secondary Functions
- Support new store openings or remodels by leading the merchandising setup for your assigned product categories.
