Core Responsibilities
Primary Functions
- Supervise the sales floor during scheduled shifts, ensuring seamless operations, proper staff coverage, and adherence to company policies and procedures from opening to closing.
- Drive sales performance and key performance indicators (KPIs), such as Units Per Transaction (UPT) and Average Transaction Value (ATV), by actively coaching, motivating, and setting daily goals for the sales team.
- Act as the Manager on Duty, providing leadership and making authoritative decisions regarding customer issues, staff conflicts, and operational challenges in a timely and professional manner.
- Deliver an exemplary level of customer service, acting as a role model for the team and directly handling escalated customer inquiries and complaints to ensure satisfactory resolution.
- Train, onboard, and provide continuous coaching to new and existing retail associates on product knowledge, sales techniques, customer service standards, and operational tasks.
- Oversee and execute all cash handling and point-of-sale (POS) procedures, including opening/closing tills, processing returns and exchanges, and preparing bank deposits with high accuracy.
- Ensure the store's visual presentation meets and exceeds company standards by directing and participating in merchandising, replenishment, and general housekeeping tasks.
- Assist in managing store inventory by overseeing the receiving of shipments, conducting regular cycle counts, processing stock transfers, and implementing loss prevention strategies to minimize shrink.
- Develop and manage weekly or bi-weekly staff schedules to optimize floor coverage based on traffic patterns and sales goals while adhering to the store's labor budget.
- Communicate key corporate directives, promotional updates, and policy changes to the team through daily huddles, meetings, and consistent follow-up to ensure alignment and execution.
- Monitor and analyze store performance data and sales reports, identifying trends, challenges, and opportunities, and reporting key findings to the Store Manager.
- Uphold and enforce all health, safety, and security protocols to maintain a safe and secure environment for all employees and customers.
