Core Responsibilities

Primary Functions

  • Lead client-facing workshops to gather, analyze, and document complex business requirements, translating them into detailed functional specifications for SAP solutions.
  • Design, configure, and customize specific SAP modules (e.g., FICO, SD, MM, EWM, PP) to align with business processes and strategic goals.
  • Manage full-cycle SAP implementation projects, from initial blueprinting and design through to final deployment, go-live, and post-production support.
  • Act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and technical development teams, ensuring clear communication and alignment on custom reports, interfaces, conversions, enhancements, and forms (RICEFW).
  • Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, including unit testing, system integration testing (SIT), and supporting business users during user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure solution quality.
  • Formulate and manage data migration strategies, overseeing the extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) of master and transactional data into the SAP system using tools like LSMW or SAP Migration Cockpit.
  • Provide expert-level troubleshooting and issue resolution for complex system problems, performance bottlenecks, and integration challenges reported by end-users.
  • Advise clients and internal stakeholders on SAP best practices, industry-specific solutions, and emerging technologies to maximize their return on investment.
  • Drive business process re-engineering initiatives, identifying opportunities for optimization, automation, and standardization enabled by SAP functionality.
  • Develop functional specifications and collaborate closely with ABAP developers to create custom solutions, ensuring technical designs meet functional requirements.
  • Manage system transports across the SAP landscape (Development, QA, Production) to ensure system integrity and synchronized configurations.
  • Conduct fit/gap analysis between current business processes and standard SAP functionalities, recommending appropriate solutions, workarounds, or custom developments.
  • Lead efforts in system upgrades and migrations, particularly for transitions to SAP S/4HANA, assessing the impact and planning the execution.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of integration points between various SAP modules and with external, third-party systems.
  • Prepare and deliver compelling solution demonstrations and presentations to stakeholders at all levels, from end-users to executive leadership.

  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including business process documents, configuration guides, and end-user training materials.
  • Design and deliver structured training sessions to end-users and super-users to ensure successful adoption of the new system and processes.

  • Participate in pre-sales activities, assisting with the development of proposals, scope definitions, and effort estimations for new projects.

Required Skills & Competencies

Hard Skills (Technical)

  • Module Expertise: Deep configuration and functional mastery in at least one core SAP module (e.g., SAP FICO, MM, SD, PP, EWM, HR/SuccessFactors).
  • SAP S/4HANA: Hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA, including knowledge of the simplified data model, Fiori applications, and differences from SAP ECC.
  • Implementation Methodology: Proficiency in project methodologies like SAP Activate, ASAP, or Agile/Scrum for managing implementation timelines and deliverables.
  • Integration Knowledge: Strong understanding of how SAP modules integrate with each other and with external systems using technologies like IDocs, BAPIs, and APIs.
  • Data Migration: Experience with data migration tools and techniques, such as SAP Data Services (BODS), LSMW, or the S/4HANA Migration Cockpit.
  • ABAP Debugging: The ability to read, understand, and debug ABAP code to troubleshoot complex issues, even without being a professional developer.
  • Solution Manager (SolMan): Familiarity with using SAP Solution Manager for documentation, change request management (ChaRM), and test management.

Education & Experience

Educational Background

Minimum Education:

Experience Requirements
