Core Responsibilities
Primary Functions
- Act as a primary liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams to gather, analyze, and document business requirements for system enhancements and new project implementations.
- Perform detailed system configuration and customization within specific SAP modules (such as FICO, SD, MM, PP, WM) to align the system's functionality with evolving business processes.
- Design, architect, and document functional solutions, creating comprehensive functional specification documents (FSDs) for RICEFW (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms, Workflows) objects.
- Lead and facilitate blueprinting workshops and requirements-gathering sessions to map current-state ("As-Is") and future-state ("To-Be") business processes.
- Develop and execute robust test plans, including unit testing, system integration testing (SIT), and coordinating user acceptance testing (UAT), to ensure solutions are high-quality, bug-free, and meet business expectations.
- Provide expert-level, day-to-day production support for the SAP system, including troubleshooting complex incidents, diagnosing root causes, and implementing effective and timely resolutions.
- Manage and govern master data objects within your module (e.g., Material Master, Vendor Master, Customer Master, G/L Accounts), ensuring data integrity, accuracy, and consistency across the enterprise.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives by proactively identifying opportunities for business process optimization and leveraging new or underutilized SAP functionalities.
- Create and maintain comprehensive system documentation, including configuration documents, training materials, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for end-users and support teams.
- Train business super-users and end-users on new functionalities and processes to ensure successful adoption and proficient use of the SAP system.
- Collaborate closely with ABAP developers by providing clear functional logic, debugging assistance, and rigorous testing for custom developments.
- Participate in all phases of the SAP project lifecycle, from initial scoping and planning through to go-live, hypercare support, and final project closure.
- Analyze and resolve issues with SAP interfaces (e.g., IDocs, RFCs) that connect SAP with third-party systems, ensuring seamless end-to-end process integration.
- Evaluate the impact of proposed changes on the existing SAP landscape and upstream/downstream systems to mitigate risks and ensure system stability.
- Stay current with SAP's product roadmap, including S/4HANA innovations, and advise the business on potential benefits and implementation strategies.
- Manage small to medium-sized SAP enhancement projects, overseeing timelines, resources, and stakeholder communication to ensure successful delivery.
- Conduct system performance analysis and work with basis and technical teams to optimize transaction and report execution times.
- Support period-end and year-end closing activities by assisting business users and resolving any system-related issues that arise.
- Ensure all system changes and configurations comply with company policies, industry regulations, and internal audit (SOX) requirements.
- Define and configure security roles and authorizations in collaboration with the security team to ensure users have appropriate system access.
- Develop custom queries and reports for the business using tools like SQVI, SQ01, or by providing specifications for more complex BW or ABAP reports.

Required Skills & Competencies
Hard Skills (Technical)
- Deep Configuration Expertise: In-depth, hands-on configuration experience in at least one core SAP ERP module (e.g., SAP FICO, SD, MM, PP, WM, EWM).
- SAP S/4HANA Knowledge: Proven experience or strong understanding of the SAP S/4HANA platform, including key innovations, simplification concepts, and the Fiori user experience.
- Integration Technologies: Knowledge of SAP integration methods such as IDocs, ALE, RFC, and BAPIs for connecting SAP with legacy or third-party applications.
- ABAP Debugging: The ability to read, interpret, and debug ABAP code to effectively troubleshoot complex issues and collaborate with developers.

- SAP Solution Manager (SolMan): Experience using SolMan for change management (ChaRM), process documentation, and test management is a significant plus.
